India 62/3 after 16 overs - Rahane, Dhawan and Rohit Sharma gone. Rahane had a lot of swing and misses. Kohli looking good on 23*

Kohli has already scored 23% of the runs he scored last series

Kohli playing a great knock here! Amazing what a change of format (and Anderson not playing) can do :inzi

Rayudu is also giving Kohli good support and are rotating the score nicely!

India 136/3 after 27 overs - Kohli on 64 and Rayudu on 30.

Rayudu comes dancing down the track and smacks the bowler back over his head for two boundaries!

Out! Kohlis gone for a well played 71 - caught behind off the spinner.

Raina in next

Good bowlers gone, Kohli back to form.

Will give him some confidence before going into ODIs.

MSD's pain at having to drop Jadeja from the last test can only be understood by him. So now he wants this hack to score a few easy runs here so that MS can play him in all the LOI's.

It would be fun if Jaddu flops here:kakmal

Jadeja gone for 7 - had hit a boundary already - went for a 6 this time and got caught on the boundary.

damn rayudu getting runs is not good news for India....he is the epitome of average or mediocre....if he scores he will be selected:mv

Not exactly. He is a good pressure player.

I am having serious reservations about Rahane.

He either has to open or not play at all.

lol no....i have followed him in ipl .. asia cup...bangla tour...australia a tour...in all those he was mediocre ...his first class average is also not that great iirc

Ok....maybe you are right.

Let's see how he goes.

he is like our version of misbah or shehzad :D....he can score runs but slows down the game ...we lost asia cup match to pakistan due slow batting by him and rahane...he has odi strike rate of 66 ..wow

Jadeja flopping with the bat must've given cramps to MSD. Now only if he goes for 80 off 10 overs for no wickets, we may see MSD collapse on the field due to shock:razzaq

why this hate for jadeja...he is a very good odi player..crap in tests...learn to separate formats

One can only hope.

India tour of England, Tour Match: Middlesex v Indians at Lord's, Aug 22, 2014

39 overs gone India 200/5

Rayudu looking good on 63 with Ashwin onto 16 in quick. Time to step it up a gear and try get close to 300

Twice in two balls Sandu drops it a tad short and Raydu rocks onto the back foot to swipe it onto the onside for back to back boundaries

so raina is one of our best LOI batsman ...he hasn't played a game in england ...he needs batting practice to get used to the conditions and dhoni sends ashwin and jadeja above him

Rayudu retires on 72 - he's booked his place in the 1st ODI :msd

Never mind Samson was the new batsmen and he's out first ball

We made Moeen Ali the offspiner a legend in Tests.

Now we are going to make Ollie Rayner the off spinner a legend.

Dhoni and Raina are both scheduled to come in next to bat since India were 3 down but I guess :msd feels they don't need the practice

Ok. Never knew that a batting average of 27 & a bowling average of 37 against non minnows is considered very good. Thanks for enlightening me.

Dug a lil deep & his away batting average of 30 & bowling average of 43 against non minnows makes me wonder how he's still in the team?

Out! Rainer gets his third in 2 overs! Samson out caught and bowled!

looks pretty decent batting averages to me...failed against aus and west indies

bowling averages are slightly bad but he played to aussies series on highways but look at the economy rates

i think you need to dig a little deep

This is not the appropriate thread to discuss him but since you choose to revert, just remove the minnows i.e Afghanistan & BD from the list & you'll see how good Jadeja has been.

As for bad bowling average due to playing on highways, I would say that by same token, his pretty decent batting average according to you is also due to same reason, i.e playing on highways.

Let's see how deep you dig now.

lol i just gave you his average against each country.....are you blind....average of 30+ in batting and 35 in bowling is very good for an all rounder...to add that he is a great fielder....you seem like a blind hater...no point debating

and he didn't bat much against bangladesh and afghanistan..what are you on about

Ok. Read this slowly again so that it settles into you.

At home.
A batting average of 27 against non minnows.
A bowling average of 37 against non minnows.

Away.
A batting average of 30 against non minnows.
A bowling average of 43 against non minnows.

I've given you the stats. If providing facts is being a hater, then I'll happily accept it.

Rayudu retiring when he did really hurt India and triggered the collapse

ok read this slowly....i don't know if you are deliberately acting stupid..

if you look at his average against top 7 countries barring aus and west indies ..it is great
so he averages 30+ or 40+ against 5 of the 7 countries

regarding his bowling
he is a fifth bowler...his job is to contain...his average will be high...look at his economy...check overseas averages of genuine spinners and then compare with him

he is an allrounder...don't judge him as a pure batter or pure bowler...you gave me your stupid stats and i elaborated your stats by giving averages against all countries then you come back and reply with the same stats...are you that slow
