Seems on edge all of the time at the crease. Not settled, fidgeting around all of the time which must be affecting his concentration.

Not good enough to be batting in top 6, average of 23 in last 6 tests, every inn's looks same like he's playing a T20. Bring in a new hungry keeper batsmen.

That is a very concerning run of scores.

If Rizwan was getting out in single figures constantly and struggling to find his form or get going, fair enough, that happens to every batter at some point and that can be supported by the coaches.

But he is almost always getting a start. Which suggests that he is losing his discipline when well set and giving away his wicket far too often.

The Captain and team management keep using him as though hes a genuine batsmen rather then a keeper / Batsmen. Look at bat positions hes been used in, the guy comes in play small cameos, the ones you would exepect from a moin khan or Rashid latif who were seen as keepers who now and the did something with the bat. Pakistan now have this fascination using Rizwan in positions hes simply not good enough for.

Every inns hes just fidgeting and always trying to create things with bat that arent there, your job is to play long inns, Apart from his 100 at kaarchi vs Aussies hes done nothing this year. He needs a kick up backside and to be dropped.

We same same complacency with Kamran Akmal and Sarfaraz one a few good knocks and all of sudden they think they are gilchrist.

Sarfaraz was the king of the counter attack.

You could bat 4 sessions at 2.5 and this guy would come and score a meaningful run a ball contribution to take the momentum into the bowling innings for Pakistan. He was the real street fighter

He chose to play every meaningless T20 game since he was picked to make sure no one comes in and looks better than him as an opener. Muhammad Harris is 10 times the player Rizwan is as a T20 opener but Rizwan made sure that Babar keeps him going in every game, every pointless game, every dead rubber so that Harris or any other dynamic player doesn’t creep in.

This is all on Rizwan. We owe him no sympathy

People raving about Sarfraz truly have some sort of nostalgia because Sarfraz wasn't very good at all. To this day, Rizwan still has a higher average than Sarfraz and people are complaining about him being inconsistent so what does that tell you about Sarfraz? At least Rizwan is fit and athletic and very good at wicketkeeping. Not every WK batsman can be a Gilchrist or de Kock but Rizwan is definitely our best ever WK bat whilst also being a top notch keeper. Have some perspective...

Definitely doesnt deserve to keep on playing especially at no 6, should be demoted to no 7 and see if that can change some fortunes for him.

Pakistan should send Rizwan packing in 2023. I am tired of his bromance with Babar. They have huge egos & pretend as if they are Pakistan’s Kohli & Sharma but they have achieved nothing.

Haris is ready to takeover in LOIs. Unlike Rizwan, his success also does not depend on where he bats. Rizwan is a tailender unless he opens but Haris gives the team flexibility. You can open with him, bat him at 3,4,5 & 6. Anywhere.

I wouldn’t mind swallowing the bitter pill of having Sarfraz back in the Test side as a stop gap until Haris is ready for this format who just prioritize FC cricket over franchise cricket.

I'm no Sarfraz fan, but he's miles better than the dud Rizwan when it comes to playing spin.

I wouldn't categorize it as selfish. Maybe slow but not selfish. If you have a Mohammad Yousuf at one end and a Abdul Razzaq at the other, should Yousuf be the one who should also be hitting out? Probably not. The sensible approach would be to let Razzaq hit out.

Haris is a good hitter of the ball so it made sense for Rizwan to hold back and let Haris do the power hitting. Also Haris wasn't really taking any risks. He was very measured and hit only those balls that were there to be hit. And he hit them in areas where there weren't fielders so it was a safe shot anyways.

I'm not a fan of Rizwan in the ODI formats as I think he'll be too slow when batting first, but today he recovered well and marshalled the chase nicely. I wouldn't be critical of him for tonight at least. He has been awful in the past 10 ODIs though.
