For all the talk of Sri Lanka being favourites, we have mercilessly beat the living daylights out of them here. I said before the series started that while Sri Lanka do start as marginal favourites, the teams are similar in terms of strength.
Very good win, even though apparently we are scratching the bottom of the barrel according to some posters here.
Sri Lanka were never favourites.
There are too many pessimistic people on this forum who try to bring down the team. I'm sure if we lose against England, they're gonna start wrist slitting again.
As they have won the test match riding on the impetus delivered by a debutant Abid Ali rather than some of our experienced players who have been riders on others' shoulders all their careers, hoping for the best and expecting the worst.
As like other wins, they will hide poor strategies of Misbah and Waqar and their huge bhunds[mishaps] batting first on a moist wicket, fear of batting at the last, shielding Harris Sohail by sending in Rizwan in the second innings, degradation in Yasir Shah's bowling, still not giving chance to Fawad Alam, Azhar Ali's joke captainccy and spread out field against a timid batting that was needed to be wrapped up in the fourth day, sh*tty performance in the last overseas tour etc... . Next tour happens to be overseas and again we are slated to lose badly with Azhar Ali as captain.
