Pseudo liberals at work.

When you borrow money from the IMF you lose the independence. PK was bankrupt when IK came to power because the Nooras had borrowed and imported their way to a economic growth. Exports were only 24bn while imports were 55bn, and that is a 30bn+ gap. Who came up with this great economic policy- yes Dar and NS, so anyone that cuts back, looks bad. But so far they have taken the hit and done the right thing and the policies have started to work.
You made a goodpoint.Ever since Pakistans inception we have gone to imf from the era of dictators, presidents and prime ministers(Correct me if I am wrong). In my opinion the economy can never be fixed if we do not eradicate ribah as according to the Qur'an and sunnah many nations before have been destroyed because of ribah.Of course we know that this will never happen because the external forces are too strong and currently the entire world runs on ribah .

Far too nicey nicey, we don't live in a European democracy. PK is a mafia state and he needs to challenge them every where or they will finish him.
Exactly. Needs to go behind these “filthy animals” and finish them off forever.

How many lives have these thieves destroyed? They have stolen the very opportunity of the poor. They have inflicted the genuine suffering and all the pain that comes with poverty to millions of Pakistanis. The true villains.

I hope there is a special place in hell for these people and their shameless supporters.

Same. One cannot imagine how much damage they have done to Pakistan and its people.

I find it funny how people can defend these crooks. Shameless.

So Nawaz and PMLN are still on bed with Establishment and GHQ after all the vote ko izat do drama?

it is complicated and not black and white as you think.

First of all you should realize that the establishment have looted the country most and have looted the country in all eras whether civil or dictatorship.

They like a weak Prime Minister as that person will compromise for his rule and will not come after them.

They are ok with a powerful Prime Minister as well as long as he is only coming after his own class i.e against other politicians. Let politicians fight each other and just sit back and watch.

But they are not ok with a powerful Prime Minister who may come after them.

If that powerful Prime Minister is already tainted like Nawaz Sharif then it become easier to discredit him by bringing his past mistakes in lime light and get him removed. Other politicians will turn against him and nobody will realize that why past mistakes of that person were not brought forward before when he was not after the establishment and only brought forward those mistakes when he start going after the establishment.

If that powerful Prime Minister is not tainted yet like Imran Khan then bring your men into his team to redirect him to make bad decisions so he becomes unpopular, get other politicians energized against him and then eventually he will be thinking about saving his rule and will compromise.

Pakistan public and politicians should look at Turkey to figure out how to get freedom from this mafia and get true democracy. Right now the public and politicians are slave.

ISLAMABAD: Attorney General Anwar Mansoor Khan has said that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his family have been given “too much relief by the system” even though ordinary people and those from the privileged classes should be treated equally.

“This case was not decided on merit and the court will take into consideration this issue at the time of announcing the (final) verdict,” he said on Saturday while addressing a press conference along with Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan.

The attorney general had been asked whether or not relief (similar to the one granted to Mr Sharif) would be given to ordinary prisoners, allowing them to be treated by doctors at their homes.

Mr Khan said: “I believe that Nawaz Sharif and his family have enjoyed too much relief; we want equal treatment for all.”

He, however, added that after a written order of the court would be received, only the federal cabinet would have the power to decide if an appeal against it should be filed.

The attorney general said the difference between the ‘indemnity bond’ and the ‘undertaking’ that were sought from the Sharif family was that the former was to be submitted to the government while the former document was submitted to the court.

“The government never opposed Nawaz Sharif’s travel abroad on medical grounds, but we needed some legal grounds as the name of any convict cannot be removed from the ECL (Exit Control List) under the rules,” he said.

Mr Khan said that being the competent authority the cabinet had already approved a one-time amendment to the rules.

“The Rs7 billion bond was required as the court has imposed fines and penalties of this amount upon him, and it was to be submitted to the government,” he said, “whereas the undertaking was submitted to the high court.”

The attorney general said if the Sharif family did not honour its commitments, there could be serious consequences, including invoking of Article 61, for lying to the court.

He said that soon after the court order would be received, the federal cabinet would review it and hopefully forward it to interior ministry so that Mr Sharif was given the permission to proceed abroad.

He added that the court had issued an interim order and the detailed order was expected to be given during the next hearing in the case.

Apart from criticising the opposition Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Dr Awan said that Mr Sharif’s case did not involve political issues but rather some legal matters.

“The government has always looked upon this matter as a humanitarian issue, but it’s unfortunate that the PML-N has been exploiting the situation not only to defame the government but also to deceive the masses,” she said.

The government’s spokesperson was of the opinion that the Sharif family had “a history of dodging and cheating” the nation and had not honoured their earlier deal. She was referring to their deal with former military ruler Gen Pervez Musharraf.

Dr Awan assailed the precedents being created by the opposition party.

After 6 years of “model governance” in KP, how many PTI politicians in KP have enrolled their kids in govt. schools? If 6 years are not enough, give us a number.

How many rich politicians come to us for treatment considered the pathetic state of govt. hospitals?

PTI supporters can only run their mouths but the end result is zero. After 6 years of flop show in KP, where they made a complete mess of the BRT among other disasters, PTI has no leg to stand on.

At least they have learned their lesson and don’t do much propaganda over their performance in KP anymore, because their incompetence has been fully exposed now and cannot be covered with fudged statistics.

Former premier Nawaz Sharif is expected to travel to London on Tuesday via an air ambulance, PML-N officials said on Sunday.

In a statement issued today, PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb said that an air ambulance will arrive on Tuesday morning to transport Nawaz.

The announcement comes a day after the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Saturday allowed the former premier to travel abroad for four weeks for medical treatment, saying the duration could be extended based on medical reports.

In a blow to the government, which had placed a condition of indemnity bonds for Nawaz's travel, the court had ordered the federal government to remove his name from the Exit Control List (ECL) without any conditions.

A two-judge bench of the high court had ann*ounced the interim order at around 5:45pm on Saturday following the marathon proceedings that started at 12:15pm in the presence of PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif and other party leaders.

In her statement today, Aurangzeb said that doctors had carried out a detailed examination of Nawaz's [health], adding that they had consulted each other about making the former premier fit for travel.

Aurangzeb said that the process of administering a high dose of steroids to Nawaz was underway so that his platelet count could be brought to a suitable level for travel. Additionally, he is being given medication to lower his high blood sugar and other medical issues, she said.

She appealed to the nation to pray that the PML-N supremo has a safe journey.

Earlier on Sunday morning, Nawaz's personal physician, Dr Adnan Khan, said that the former premier was scheduled to travel to London within 48 hours "once he's clinically stabilised, made travel-worthy [and] is safe for air travel".

How is it an excellent decision if it has come from the establishment?

RAWALPINDI: Rejec*ting speculation that the government and the Sharif family have struck a political deal, Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Sunday said the Lahore High Court (LHC) gave both parties a face saving.

“PTI government did not want to let Nawaz Sharif go abroad without submitting indemnity bond, but the LHC gave relief to him which is a win-win situation for both the parties and it is neither a defeat nor a victory for anyone,” he stated while inaugurating the Steam Engine Safari Train from Rawalpindi to Attock on Sunday.

Tourists from the United Kingdom, Japan, the United States, Italy and Germany travelled in the train. The objective of the train was to project the culture, civilisation, heritage and worth seeing beautiful places of Pakistan before the world.

Talking to reporters, the minister said that no one played a role in sending Nawaz Sharif abroad, and it was purely a decision of the LHC. He claimed that good days for the country’s politics would come and the whole political scenario will change by January 15 next year.

“Sharif family is miser and they did not give money when they went to Saudi Arabia. They left Hamza Shahbaz as a surety bond,” he said and added that the government should let them go.

He said that Nawaz Sharif’s platelets were going up and down like stock exchanges and he was on electronic media for many days by taking a thermometer and distracted the attention of the people. He said the former prime minister would go abroad for four weeks for treatment.

Commenting on the JUI-F’s sit-in, Sheikh Rashid said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman took a wise and timely decision to call off the sit-in as he got nothing out of it. “The timing of the sit-in was not right and in politics and war, timing is important. Maulana Fazlur Rehman did not choose the right time for his protest,” he added.

He said that Asif Ali Zardari was involved in five cases and five people were trying to get plea bargain.

The minister said that the country had become a tourist attraction under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan. “Pakistan is a beautiful country with its cultural diversity and old civilisation,” he added.

He said that the government was striving to control the price hike and create job opportunities for youths. “The recent surge in the prices of daily-use items was a result of corruption of past rulers.”

He condemned the recent fire incident in a train and said that he was thankful to the Tableeghi Jamaat for imposing a ban on participants of its congregations to carry gas stoves during train journey.

Talking about the steam engine, he said: “We have decided to use a 100-year-old steam engine. I thank the people of Austria, Italy and Japan and their suggestions to improve these engines.”

LAHORE: Governor Chaudhry Sarwar said on Sunday the Lahore High Court decision was not a matter of success or defeat for the government and the opposition.

The PML-N leadership had submitted a written assurance in court of law and everyone wanted Nawaz Sharif to come back after his recovery.

He said the federal government had permitted Nawaz Sharif’s medical treatment abroad solely on humanitarian grounds and when he fell ill, the government provided him the best possible treatment here. From the day one, he said, the government had been giving assurance that it would not obstruct the process of sending Nawaz Sharif abroad for cure.

He said those dreaming of in-house change would get nothing but disappointment. He said the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan would complete its constitutional term of five years at all costs and the next general election would be held on scheduled time.

Brushing aside reservations shown by the Chaudhry brothers, he said both of them are confident ally of the government and “reservations among allies are a usual thing.” The governor said reservations and grievances among allies did not happen in Pakistan alone but in the entire world. He said allies could give their viewpoint and as far as Chaudhry brothers are concerned, they were very much standing by the government, and the government taking all its allies along too.

Mr Sarwar, who is also chairman of the Punjab Aab-e-Pak Authority, said the PTI government’s promise of provision of safe drinking water to the people of Punjab would be fulfilled through the authority during the next four years. He said there was no doubt that a number of people of Punjab were falling prey to hepatitis and other diseases due to consumption of contaminated water and they needed to be saved by all means.

The governor warned the counterfeit companies operating in the name of safe drinking water to refrain from such practices otherwise huge fine would be imposed on filtration companies supplying substandard water. He said their owners would also face strict action including two years of imprisonment.

He said the Aab-e-Pak Authority would not only register all the filtration plants but ensure their continuous monitoring across Punjab.

The Nawaz Sharif saga proves that the opposition still runs the country

There is a reason why people still fear the PPP and the PML N even if they are sitting in the opposition. They know full well these parties have penetrated every state institution with their men be it the Judiciary, the NAB, the FBR, the SBP, the media anchors.

It is no coincidence that the prosecution lawyers have zero answers on how to convict these guys or to build a powerful case to convict these people.

The average person knows full well that if Imran Khan continues to naively believe that the state institutions will take care of these people and get the looted wealth from them completely ignoring the dark realities that the entire government machinery is being held ransom to the PML N and PPP, he will never be able to do anything to the Sharif brothers, Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto and recover a single penny from them. In fact people know that these guys once they come back to power will launch full scale reprisals against those who dared to help IK and the PTI govt.

Personally speaking, I don't really know how IK can even be happy or content at this point because on his core promises to the country ie ruthless accountability, recovery of the looted wealth, aggressive tax reforms, he has proven to be all talk at this point with zero to show for it.

Him pussing out against the PPP and PML N mafia and their family members, cronies where he is letting a corrupt system being mocked, abused, exploited to the fullest by the opposition is just extremely shameful and demoralizing to watch.

If carrying out and implementing his original PTI manifesto requires abrogating the constitution and imposing civilian martial law then so be it. If the recovery of the Looted wealth requires putting the Sharifs, Zardaris, Bhuttos behind bars, employing torture, execution of immediate and distant family members then so be it. The govt of the country has to put the fear of God in the opposition and show them that they really mean business. A person like Zardari when he is being arrested by the govt security forces should be pissing himself, not be relaxed, smiling, content in the knowledge nothing will happen to him.

Unless our country and its leaders take drastic measures, nothing is going to change whatsoever

Why are people blaming Imran? I am no fan of his politics but what he did was by the book.

Now if the court allows Sharif to go, what can Imran do?

Ailing PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif is set to leave the country today in a "high-end" air ambulance, which is expected to arrive in Lahore from Doha early morning.

Arrangements for the former prime minister's departure have been made at Lahore airport's Haj Terminal. According to PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb, Nawaz will be accompanied by his personal physician Dr Adnan Khan and party president Shehbaz Sharif. She said that doctors have completed a medical examination of Nawaz ahead of his departure and he has been administered high doses of steroids and medicines to ensure that his condition remains stable during travel.

An intensive care unit and an operation theatre has been set up in the air ambulance and a team of doctors and paramedics will also be on board, Dr Khan said in a tweet last night.

"Former PM Sharif will travel to London in a high-end air ambulance equipped with a fully functional and staffed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Operation Theatre. A team of doctors and paramedics will be on board headed by an intensivist. ETD (LHE): Tuesday 19 Nov morning."

The development comes a day after the interior ministry issued a notification, allowing the former prime minister to travel abroad for medical treatment, saying that the decision was an "interim arrangement" in the light of the Lahore High Court’s (LHC) order, which was passed last week.

In its notification, the ministry reproduced the undertakings provided by Shehbaz Sharif and Nawaz to the LHC in which the terms of their travel and return have been laid out. The former prime minister's name remains on the Exit Control List (ECL).

After much deliberation and meetings, the government had agreed to allow Nawaz to travel abroad, with the condition that indemnity bonds amounting to Rs7-7.5 billion be furnished. The PML-N had rejected the condition and taken the matter to the LHC, which — in a blow to the Centre — ordered the federal government to remove his name from the ECL without any conditions. The verdict was issued after Nawaz signed a court-approved undertaking, saying that he would return to the country within four weeks.

Shehbaz too signed an undertaking, which stated he would "ensure return" of his brother "within four weeks or on certification by doctors that he has regained his health and is fit to return back to Pakistan".

Nawaz, who has been diagnosed with an immune system disorder, was recommended by doctors to go abroad as his condition continued to deteriorate despite treatment. He was rushed to Services hospital from the Kot Lakhpat jail — where he was serving a prison sentence granted by an accountability court that found him guilty of corruption in the Al Azizia — after Dr Khan raised an alarm over the former prime minister's deteriorated health.

Nawaz was granted bail by the Islamabad High Court on humanitarian grounds, in the Al Azizia case earlier this month. He also obtained bail in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case, in which he is a suspect, from the LHC.

Nawaz Sharif leaves for London from Lahore in air ambulance

Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif left for London on Tuesday, twenty days after he was released on bail from a seven-year sentence for corruption.

The PML-N supremo, who has been diagnosed with an immune system disorder, is accompanied by his brother Shehbaz Sharif and his personal physician Dr Adnan Khan.

“Nawaz Sharif will go to Boston after going through a detailed checkup in London. During his travel, he will stay in Doha for two hours,” PML-N leader Pervaiz Rashid told Reuters.

The air ambulance arrived from Doha early morning at Lahore airport's Haj Terminal. An intensive care unit and an operation theatre has been set up inside while a team of doctors and paramedics are also on board.

According to immigration sources, Nawaz's medical files were handed over to the team traveling with the former prime minister in the air ambulance. Doctors also conducted blood tests prior to the departure.

PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb said that Nawaz's plane will stop in Qatar for a refuel. The medical team will also be changed.

The 69-year-old PML-N supremo, who has bail in two corruption cases and is facing another reference by the National Accountability Bureau, was accompanied to the airport by a large number of supporters as well as party leaders. Party leaders, including Khawaja Asif and Ahsan Iqbal, were also present to see off the leader.

The former premier's mother, other family members and his daughter Maryam — who surrendered her passport to secure her release in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case earlier this month — bid farewell to him at the house. A large number of supporters and workers had gathered outside Jati Umra since morning prior to Nawaz's departure.

In a separate statement issued earlier on Tuesday, Aurangzeb said that doctors completed a medical examination of Nawaz ahead of his departure and he was administered high doses of steroids and medicines to ensure that his condition remains stable during travel.

His departure comes a day after the interior ministry issued a notification, allowing the former prime minister to travel abroad for medical treatment, saying that the decision was an "interim arrangement" in the light of the LHC's order, which was passed last week.

Have you seen the video clip at twitter of SS and Justice Baqir e.t.c after historical decision? I don't know how much authentic that video is that's why i am not sharing.

Seen the video.... need to check the bank account of this patwari judge

No avail. A lot of these guys get paid in cash via briefcases.

Don't understand why educated people are spreading false information. The video is not of Justice Baqir Najfi. It's Nawaz Sharif's lawyers Amjad Pervez and Ashtar Ausaf and the person being kissed is Rafaqat Ali Dogar.

Can imagine how embarrassed a politician would be in the west if he had to travel abroad any circumstance, never mind a run of the mill treatment. These guys have no shame!

Don't understand what the issue is. He's going to get treatment not like he's running away. He returned previously as well he'll return again once his treatment is done.

People making a mountain out of a mole hill on the entire issue.

And that's how you dupe the nation! NS is a politician, he has to throw in the convincer, and his previous return to PK was it!

NS will ask for political asylum in the UK, no doubt about it!

I see you have amazing abilities and are able to see the future, could you please entertain me with more of your made up stories about who will do what since you seem to know a lot.

It's based on evidence of past politicians and patterns. Just like you are doing now. If you do not realise the hypocrisy of your statement, then it only confirms the mental state of Nooras, delusional.

Rather than making silly statements lets stick to the topic shall we? You didn't answer my question. Based on history, Nawaz Sharif came back from London last time around to face jail. So what is your opinion based on that we will not return?

You started with the silly statement, but hey, you want to believe NS will come back to PK, good for you, but my OPINION is that you are delusional to think so given the circumstance this round.

Again, why are you avoiding the question. You said your statement regarding him applying for asylum was based on the past. However, in the past he returned. So the basis of your statement is contradicting. I'm just trying to figure out what you're basing this on? Either admit that you have no basis of saying what you said and its just verbal diarrhea or please educate us as to the basis of the statement

Messiah Noora was convicted by the Supreme court of Pakistan, disqualified as PM for life, and sentenced to imprisonment. For what exactly? Being an honest politician? No, for lies, fraud, and, corruption.

But no, his minions want us to believe their messiah is speaking the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. These people are the real disease in Pakistan, supporting convicted criminals. Living in darkness despite seeing the light - condemned for an eternity.

Yaar, why are you avoiding the question over and over again. It's a simple question. Do you not understand it? Do you want me to translate it into Urdu for you? What can I do to help you understand the question.

I gave you my answer in 443. What can I do to help you read?

Now look, stop wasting my time. You can finish this by presenting the evidence you based your conclusion that NS will return to PK, instead of pleading with me.

So, what you got? Lets see if you really are a hypocrite or not.

Bhagora bhaag gaya.... I wish the thief an early departure to hell

According to Geo and Dawn reports I thought he is taking his last breaths but these latest pics show he isn't in a critical situation.

Is it ok for a very low platelets patient to get a clean shave?

Cult-members are burning like coal, and it seems that they don’t really know what they want.

If Nawaz dies abroad they will not be able to play the “he is faking it” card. They will end up with eggs on their faces like the Kulsoom Nawaz situation.

If he doesn’t die, returns to Pakistan and doesn’t walk into the jail, Imran will be humiliated and will lose whatever credibility he has.

So they are pinning their hopes on the must unluckiest of outcomes, i.e. Nawaz comes back and is jailed again. That is clearly not happening.

It only took 1.5 years for Imran to realize how powerless he actually is.

Nawaz could have arranged a stretcher or even a wheelchair to prove that he is unwell, but he decided to burn the cult and the cult-members further by walking into the plane like a boss.

So in short NS and PMLN are happily on bed again with GHQ
