Are NZ playing stick cricket?

I am commenting only so that atleast the number of comments catch up with the wickets lost by Bangladesh in 10 overs.

I thought I would be able to witness the Naagin dance today. As there was excessive rain. But......

Wow how humiliating for BD, never thought they would stoop so low. Apart from sweet shot, where are all the BD posters at ? Has the Tiger turned into a measly little kitten in the words of Bob Willis Markhor

New Zealand outclass Bangladesh in rain-marred T20I finale
NZ v Ban, 3rd T20I, report

New Zealand inflicted whitewash on Bangladesh as they cruised to a comfortable 65-run victory in the rain-interrupted final T20I.

The opening partnership of Martin Guptill and Finn Allen along with the brilliant bowling display by Todd Astle (4/13) and Tim Southee (3/15) proved crucial.

Persistent rain delayed the start of the match, and the contest was eventually reduced to a 10-overs-per-side.

New Zealand win the final T20I by 65 runs and sweep the series 3-0!

Bangladesh won the toss and asked New Zealand to bat. The hosts came out with all guns blazing with openers Allen and Guptill.

Guptill's intent was evident from the get-go, as he smashed a 93 meter six off Nasum Ahmed’s bowling in the first over of the match. Allen got into the act soon, hitting Nasum for three fours and a six his next over.

The explosive duo demolished Bangladesh’s bowlers, stitching together 85 runs before the end of the sixth over. Guptill’s carnage came to an end courtesy of Mahedi Hasan after the ball hit his toe end and found the fielder at deep extra cover, as the New Zealand opener fell for a 19-ball 44.

Guptill’s dismissal didn’t slow down New Zealand, as Allen reached his maiden T20I fifty in just 18 balls – the second-fastest ever for the Black Caps. Glenn Phillips had a short cameo at the crease, hitting two sixes before departing to Shoriful Islam for 14.

Allen’s 29-ball 71 was undone by Taskin Ahmed after a failed scoop attempt found substitute fielder Mehidy Hasan. New Zealand finished the innings with a gargantuan total of 141/4.

In the chase, Bangladesh got off to a shaky start as Tim Southee struck twice in two balls for New Zealand. Dismissing Soumya Sarkar by caught and bowled, and then sending Liton Das back to the pavilion for a first-ball duck.

"Finn the entertainer" has a ring to it.

Todd Astle got in on the action to pick up the wicket of Mohammad Naim, and in the same over, Najmul Shanto became his second victim after he was deceived by a wrong’un.

From there the wickets kept falling, Astle put the game out of Bangladesh’s reach after he added two more wickets to his tally in his next over. Bangladesh were in trouble at 52/6, a lower-order collapse saw them lose 4 wickets for 20 runs resulting in them being all out in 9.3 overs.

New Zealand completed a whitewash as they cruised to a comfortable 65-run victory in the final T20I.

Are NZ playing stick cricket?

No, they are just BD bully’s. Watch them fold like a pack of cards when it matters most, they are always saved from criticism due to nice guy Kane Jobber Williamson, if he put more time into playing the cricket then crying maybe they will win something one day

Where is the ‘Aage aage dekho hota hai kya’ pioneer?

I thought Bangladesh were about to become the new Australia of 2003 whilst Pakistan become the new Zimbabwe?

BD are just below average playing in Asia. In overseas conditions, Afghanistan will put up a better performance.

What's stopping the BCB from dropping all these Sarkars and the Shantos and the Rubels forever and just start playing guys from the u19 batch....?

I mean....when you can't win a game to save your lives away from home and lose to Afghanistan and WI C at home.... you literally have nothing to lose.

You can forget the Cobra dance, am seeing the Chicken dance at the moment. That aside, deep problems in their roster pool if this is their output outside the seniors, I had confidence in their domestic system based on feedback from some of the posters, I guess everyone has been let down :( The World needs a BD team that can compete with the bottom half at least

maybe I should write a detailed essay on the demise of Bangladesh's international cricket after a short lived success period where it seemed they were on the right way? This would be fair considering the epic essays that were written on the day Pakistan tied an ODI against Zimbabwe at home, or when they conceded 600+ runs against NZ away.

Or maybe I should represent the Pakistani fans and continue to overlook to be the bigger person? Ive been following cricket closely since 2003, and I have always been supportive of Bangladesh cricket, because it is my view that PCB have always tried to be supportive of PCB as well. The day they beat Australia in Cardiff, 2005 was actually one of the most delightful days of my life as a cricket fan. That Ashraful hundred to this day is one of the most inspirational performances as a cricket fan for myself.

The saddest, and most unfortunate thing one can resort to is the ridicule of a weaker sporting team or nation. But what to do with Bangladesh? It seemed as if the few victories they achieved against decent sides and the appointment of high profile cricketers as coaches (basically filling up the pockets of the likes of Waqar Younis) made their fans and anti PCB critics feel that Bangladesh has firmly replaced Pakistan as a worthy cricket powerhouse in South Asia.

Not sure if all that bravado, arrogance and overconfidence was worth it? Not sure lines such as 'aage aage dekho hota hai kya' had the desired affect?
