It takes us 10 years to find a Saim. We can't lose batting talents like this.

What makes it worse is we get dross like Usman Khan and Tayyab.

Seems like pitch was helpful in the first 15 overs looking at the run rate. I am sure NZ decided to target 5th bowler.

Pakistan won ODI series in Aus and SA with this strategy. 4 genuine bowlers + part timers. They went with same strategy here. Difference was that then we had Saim who is more than just a part timer as he can spin it both ways. Moreover, short square boundaries here means Salman was redundant. Rizwan could have immediately rectified that had he realized it earlier and gave overs to Irfan around 25 over mark when Kiwis were still defensive and wicket had seam movement.

Rizwan made massive tactical blunder today that cost us a hundred extra runs !

NZ has Australia thats why.

Australia, NZ and aus passport holders can literally live in each other countries with zero consequence. Hence these lads tend to even share a domestic structure.

It's very common for NZ school cricket kids to travel and play aussie school cricket kids and they get exposed to Bilo bounce and swingy pitches early on in their cricketing lives

And they share their outdoorsy atheleticism as well. Both NZ and Aus have the exact same cricketing structure however the reason aus is superior is because their population is just larger so a a higher talent pool and more selective systems.

An aussie B tier cricketer from his school days who can't get into his school team can easily swap countries, move to NZ and get fast tracked into NZ A tier school team.

Still it is way too risky to go with this strategy. Ever since the field restriction rule was changed in 2015, these part timers have become redundant. You need a bit of purchase to use part timers. On pitches like this where there was hardly any turn it was suicidal.The side effect of this strategy is Rizwan used up all the resources way too early.
 
My not so bold predictions for Pakistan innings. They will get in an Early hole. 2 or 3 wickets down in the first 10. Then they tuk tuk their way to 175 and then get out in the 30 to 40 overs trying to accelerate. All out 207
 
It wouldn't matter if regular talent was coming through but it's not. We are left with some of the filthiest hacks that we have to make do with.

People don't understand in tests. Taking a test on your Samsung phone through fraud apps and receiving a 160 score is not the same 🤣🤣🤣.

Even IQ test scores aren't taken seriously. The only accurate measurements of IQ have been people on academic fields who've had years of scientific contributions and hence people have been able to determine their Iaq based of their thinking process and research ability.

No one on PP including myself have an IQ of 150.

Somebody has to replicate Abbas cameo. But who will replicate extras performance of Pakistan? They conceded over 40 runs

How is that their fault? Your system hasn’t produced a world class player since the early 2000s. Cricket has evolved and so has the attention of current generation who live more
in the virtual world. There is no talent in the domestic. And there is no way, PCB would go above and beyond to unearth hidden talents.

The only way i see Pakistan getting better players is when the government forces schools, colleges and universities to give more importance to sports. Otherwise you’ll keep getting frauds like Usman Khan who can’t even hold the bat properly.
 
Good from Usman. Both Abdullah and Usman don't have technique to survive here. They should look to play horizontal bat shots. That is how Fakhar succeeded here.
 
These bowlers know how to utilize these pitches so well. Our guys have no idea how to bowl here. Its so sad

Saim Ayub has natural talent, but he’s also coached by Mohd Masrur who also coached Saud Shakeel.
it’s unlikely that the rare Pakistani who moved to NZ had all the talent, but literally millions of Pakistanis born here don’t.

Not once or twice. Plenty of inside and outside edges not to mention drop catch of Chapman early on. Was unlucky.
 
At least they're looking to attack I suppose. Already have nearly as many runs as they did in the PP in the CT match vs NZ (22).
