New Zealand (346/5) comprehensively defeat Pakistan (345/5) by 5 wickets in their first warm-up game in the ICC World Cup 2023

We will be losing alot of out matches all because of the way we bat during the first 10 overs of batting pp. Abdullah shafique and imam was playing test match and here a nothing player in racing playing at over 120 strike rate

Reason I advocated for Abdullah and saud( Yes even Abdullah deapite him failing today) is because

Abdullah unlike imam isn't limited, the guy has proven in test that he can stay way way longer at the crease and bat an entire innings unlike imam who is guaranteed to depart at over 40 due to lack of lofted stroke play. And unlike imam Abdullah can go 4th and 5th gear once he is set. Something imam can't do which is why he isn't in the t20 squad. That being said I don't want both Abdullah and imam to open, that is a disaster as today both were playing at a snails pace at the beggining. You need a striker with Abdullah.

But Abdullah over imam because when imam scores those runs are invaluable usually, when Abdullah scores they'll be valuable.

For saud, it's because if you watch rizwan today you can still see his limitations. He took time to get going and his ability against spin, his ability against pace and his 4th and and 5th gear are clearly inferior to saud. You have to be brain dead if you think rizwan is superior to saud in any way irrespective of the score.

I identify alot of things very correctly entirely based of the technique and stroke play of a player. Expect rizwan and imam to go missing in big matches.

Granted the bowlers are adjusting to Indian conditions but this is already scary.

If we're going at 7 RPO against Ravindra and a half fit Williamson, what's going to happen against stronger batting lineups ?

Williamson is playing warm-up match but will not play the first match against England. I don’t know why but they are certainly a professional side and have set plans.

Usama Mir must have some very solid connection to be around the side for so long despite being utterly mediocre

A good litmus test to on judging the flatness of a patch is to see Rizwan's strike rate. If he is miraculously playing above a 100 then you know it's a road
 
It looks like this WC is going to be very a tough one for seamers and pacers. Only batsmen and spinners will have a good time.

Young Rachin Ravindra taking the Pak bowling to the cleaners proves what this WC is going to be like.
 
Like I said its Shaheen or bust. His and Naseem's brilliance was masking how bad the other bowlers in the squad are. I'll give Rauf a pass as he is having to bowl out of position.
 
Why are people taking this match seriously? NZ wouldn't have allowed Pakistan to score 350 and neither would Pakistan have allowed NZ to score 100 in 13 overs in a world cup game. It's all about getting overs and balls into your system at this stage.

Bro, many posters don't understand and will back imam and rizwan, rizwan especially due to that 100.

Playing a timid 100 means nothing. It's thanks to saud that we even have dependable total to begin with. These boring 100's when it's clear as Day this is 380 pitch 🫠.

I really dislike imam and shadab. Rizwan not that much but no 4 is clearly not his position to bat 😭.
 
Silly bowlers and even incompetent captain. when you have such a big total on board at least stop giving them easy runs. Isn’t there a single smart person in this team?

How did garbage like Wasim Jr make it all the way to the top 11. He is not even good enough for second XI in domestics.
 
Why the hell pak players are looking so dumbfounded in face of an attack? Have they never saw attacking cricket. Babar especially have to apply his brain.

This logic only applies for other teams for Pakistani fans. If Pakistan did this, the fans and "sports journalists" would've taken the team management decision to the cleaners with their criticism. Most of Pakistani decisions are done keeping in view of the reaction from outside.
 
Wasim Jr is probably the worst bowler to have played for Pakistan in the past 10 years. A nothing bowler compared to all the talented bowlers that come out of their system.

Hasan Ali averaged 128 in last WC and has averaged 62 for the last 3 years.

But ofcourse, 3 balls tell us more than 3 years. Classic myopic fans.
 
Usama Mir's 3rd over was actually alright but the dropped catch and misfield have ruined it for him.
 
This Mohammad waseem, he is such a rubbish fielder.

That's the end result when you put a meek and insecure individual as your captain.
 
Maybe NZ are going too fast.

They should have made 30/1 in 10 like Pakistan as some posters were exultant that Pakistan played amazingly well.
 
Bobby must be happy.... atleast all his buddies are playing. Who cares about the result.
