Hafeez seems he is just trying to not get out whereas Shahzad is giving some medicine back to the Kiwis

waleed bhai run rate concept samajh aya?? please never ever judge odi run rate within first 3 overs, need at least 7-8 as i said.

Who said Shehzad ain't aggressive batsmen. He bats to the situation. Only if Hafeez wasn't going at a strike rate less then 50 we would be going a really fast pace

I guess Hafeez is thinking he is playing a vital role in the partnership by rotating the strike every 16th delivery he faces

That's the problem you see, Shehzad is either finding the boundary or the fielders hands. No desire to rotate the strike.

This is our problem, and why our RR will drop when the field is pushed back.

If pak can find any player as half good as sewhag, we will take it with both hands

Man we need singles. Shehzad hits a boundary then plays 3 dot balls, could've made that a much better over

He has no choice when the target is 370.

If it was 270, he would be still blocking every ball.

Rarely bats according to the situation, today he has no choice because of the target.

Rotating Strike is an art where most pak players failed... This is where fawad alam can be very useful

I agree strike rotation > boundary hitting. We need at least one opener who could rotate strike.

Shehzad's at his best when he's looking to be aggressive. Often too cautious when batting first.

Yep !!
And Hafeez on the otherside is just trying to save his wicket. This also puts pressure on Shehzad.

That's what coaches are for.

Pakistan will chase this down in 30 overs if Ahmed Kohli is there till then.

It's a small ground with fielders inside the circle, not easy to take singles.

Hafeez looks umder pressure. Usually he is a very smooth batsman.

is there a better sight than a rampaging shezad. the looks, the arrogance, the fast mouth (u will burn in hell comment)...this kid has it all

thats why he said he plays according to the situation, if the target was 270, there is no need to go all the way from the beginning, you have time get settled in

What the hell has happened to Matthew Sinclair? Damn he's gained some weight.

Need to target one bowler

What a pathetic start from Hafeez. Only trying to get a decent score to secure his place.

Nice work from Shehzad though. Overall, a steady start.

younis already chewing gum. misbah looks calm and cool. he knows he can get 56 ball hundered.

Shehzad will slow down vs the spinner while Hafeez will hope to attack

Yes, but he's giving himself room and trying to hit a choka on every ball, which is risky.

That is huge problem with.

Needs to learn how to take singles. If he can do that, he will become a very good bat.

He would play so slow, that others will feel the pressure.

Doesn't mean he will play according to situation.

Hate selfish players and Hafeez showing it once again. Such a shame. We will never do well until we get rid of these selfish players such as Hafeez and Younis
