I would like to give you an update. Imran khan made a person from his party a minister. This minister was never a member of national assembly or senate. He was an overseas, infact he had dual nationality. He even did corruption

The name of that person was Zulfi Bukhari.

If you guys can make a British citizen a minister without winning an election, than hussain and hassan bring part of an official delegation is a non issue.

Inshallah, overseas pakistanis will never get to vote in my countrys election.
Any overseas who wants to vote, do your self a favour, buy a plane ticket.

Usual drivel and outright lies. Care to tell us what portfolio did Zulfi Bukhari hold in IK's cabinet?
He was Special Assistant to the PM for Overseas Pakistanis & Human Development which is not a cabinet position.

Koi sharam hoti hai koi haya hoti hai Major.

The federal government has started the process to deprive overseas Pakistan of their right to vote in the general elections.

A bill to reverse the PTI government’s bill, providing overseas Pakistan with a right to vote, has been presented in the National Assembly. The bill was presented by estranged PTI MNA Noor Alam Khan on May 10 and was not objected to by Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar.

The Law Minister said that the bill should be presented and discussed in the Electoral reforms committee. The speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf handed over the bill to the electoral reforms committee.

It is to be noted that the former government had passed a bill in the National Assembly which provided overseas Pakistani’s right to vote in the general elections.

In November 2021, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Parliamentary Affairs Babar Awan presented the Electoral reforms bill, which included the usage of Electronic Voting Machines in the next general elections. The same bill provided overseas nationals with their right to vote.

The government parties have been very vocal against the provision of overseas voting, claiming the process would raise rigging concerns. The PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto had also proposed special seats for overseas Pakistanis

It's totally unfair if people not living in the country are having a say in a country they left permanently.. they have no clue about ground reality, it does not effect them in anyway that who runs the country, they probably will only visit once or twice in a 5 year period for a short time.

It's a dirty tactics by imran Khan he knows he has a following overseas due to 1992 World Cup win that's totally unfair elections

This does not apply to those who are working abroad to feed their families in Pakistan
Only those who left the country for a foreign passport and a better life they should stay away from pakistani politics and enjoy their better life in a foreign country

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikander Sultan Raja on Wednesday said that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) did not oppose the use of Electric Voting Machines (EVMs) nor did it oppose voting by overseas Pakistanis but urged transparency.

The electoral watchdog's chief made the remarks in light of criticism the commission has faced, particularly from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and its chief Imran Khan, who has on a number of occasions accused the ECP of 'opposing' the use of EVMs to 'manipulate polls'.

While addressing at an event today, the electoral chief said that the commission did not oppose EVMs or overseas votes but emphasised that transparency in the electoral process was mandatory.

CEC Raja also said that it will take six months for the delimitation of constituencies. He maintained that the ECP did not want doubts raised regarding election results if polls were held in a haste.

Without taking any names, Raja stated that everyone was equal before the ECP “from the worker to the party head” and that action was taken against workers, including the party chief for violating the code of conduct.

It is pertinent to note that on Monday the commission initiated proceedings to strip PTI chief Imran Khan of his party’s chairmanship following his disqualification in the Toshakhana reference.

In his address, the CEC added the success of the opposition in the by-elections is proof of the transparency of the electoral watchdog and that people's confidence in the commission had increased.

“Work on digital constituencies has not yet started. However, if the digital census results come in time, new constituencies will be prepared for the elections in time,” he said.

Raja furthered that constituencies were delimited twice for the local body elections in Punjab, while the provincial government changed election rules twice.

He added that the ECP has bound the provincial government to hold local body elections in Punjab and that the commission will use its authority to conduct the elections if the provincial government changed the rules again.

The CEC also said that due to rains and floods, the elections in Karachi and Hyderabad divisions were postponed and will now be held on January 15.
