All eyes again on Babar and Rizwan but Naseem Shah will have a chance to impress against a strong side as well, as could the likes of M Wasim Jr and Hasnain

The main batters to watch will be Haider and Shan - will they get a chance to play and will they use this opportunity to get back in form?

Match starts at 02:00 gmt

Pakistan to choke in yet another final although this time it's a useless tournament unlike the Asia Cup. Babar will fail again massively like he has done in so many important games, Rizwan will score yet another impact less 50.

1) Babar
2) Rizwan
3) Masood (only if the wicket falls in first 4 overs otherwsie he bats @ 8)
4) Asif - lets unpin the myth that he can be trusted against spinners...useless so far
5) Nawaz -- can be handy at 5
6) Shadab - cab be brought at 5 too
7) chacha - he plays for himself so lets leave him 3 to 4 balls max
8) Hasnain
9) Haris
10) Wasim
11) Naseem

Pakistan have won the toss and opted to field first in the final of the Tri-series against New Zealand

In the past, Pakistan used to be a horrible chasing team. Not anymore. Current Pakistan chase quite well.

Two changes for NZ with captain Kane Williamson returning along with Tickner in for Milne. Southee = 100th T20I

Pakistan have to restrict NZ to under 165.

Anything above 170 can be tricky. NZ have a great bowling attack.

50th T20I for Haris.

Why they don't learn that even though Pak chasing improves in non deciders or finals they can't handle pressure and bowling is our stronger suit.

Huge wicket

Allen was looking to end this game in the powerplay

What a horrible hack this Allen is, I wonder if this kind of rubbish innings is what people talk about when they mention ‘impact’.

so much happening in the first over but well done to NS!

Allen was very unlucky that delivery. With that much room, he should have smashed that to a boundary as well.

He has had a positive impact. No matter how bad he looks . That is T20 cricket now. It is how you create above par scores. However, this impact argument is used against Babar and Rizwan which I don't agree with.

NZ learning from past mistakes and not playing conservative.

Some teams learn in a few games what others refuse to learn at all.

Good start from NZ.

Pakistan also got the big wicket of Finn.

Honors are even so far.

Also I don’t want to hear “NZ boundaries are tiny” anymore. Last few games all boundaries have been bigger than what we had in UAE and probably Pak too.

Some of the NZ grounds are tiny though. For example, Eden Park of Auckland; that's a very tiny ground.

This ground is big. I agree.

Awkard dive from Asif and hobbling a bit - off the field now

Match is over already stage is set for a useless 50 by Shan like he did against England.

The strategy New Zealand have with Allen is perfect. They pair him with one tuk tuk in Conway at the top of the order, and have Williamson as another tuk tuk failsafe in case he gets out early. That gives Allen license to be aggressive in the powerplay and take the attack to the bowlers. Best case he’ll end the game early (as he did against Pakistan previously), or he’ll give New Zealand early momentum, which he’s done today.

Pakistan can do the same by having Rizwan at the top with a basher, and letting Babar come in at 3, alas we’re happy to strike at 7 in the PowerPlay and ‘take the game deep’ for our ‘power hitters’

If Williamson is scoring at 200 S/R, it means this is a belter.

Pakistan still has hope even if they concede 200 here.

Pakistan fielding is truly one of the worst in the world. Zero ability to stop any 50/50 balls. Not to mention the consistency of routine dropped catches.

KW is going at as good as a SR as Allen, and doesn’t look like throwing his wicket away like that hack.

I will stay away from the Babar and Rizwan debate, as it’s tiring to discuss in every thread.

Waseem Jr the most awkward bowler to face in this line up

Dumb wicket

Conway was important for NZ from 6-12 overs period

First 6 overs with fast bowlers, middle overs with spinners and last 6 overs again with fast bowlers , this is the simple strategy of babar in every match no matter whats the situation is
