Are Bangladesh choking. Looked so good but since Mushfiqur and Mithun got out I feel momentum is shifting towards WI. Also that was a very tight over. This match is worth watching, unlike England vs Pakistan

If an hour ago if someone said BD will rely on Mossadek in the last few overs to slog, I would have laughed at them. 
The reason is DWL. At 144/0 after 20'1, revised target would have been 203 in 20 overs. When game went to 24 overs, had WIN ended 152/0, that target would have been 220, and at 152/2 around 200; which means every wicket was around 9-10 runs - they tried to preserve wicket and Mash was quite smart, brought his best 2 strikers to get wickets. Even had WIN scored like 180-3, target would have been 215 or so. They batted quite purposefully.

Damn what a win for Bangladesh. Looked like a thriller but Mosadeek went crazy. Luckily just as the result of that became clear, the Pakistan game got close.

Mosaddek, Mithun, Mustafizur and Saif will be the choice of the management and rightly so. Pace bowling will always be the concern in the coming WC as we are fielding the weakest pace bowling department in last 3 WC I think.

A team that just thrashed England in England couldn't even stand in front of our team. Such was the level of our dominance.
But I have to say that I didn't get surprised with the result of this tri series. I was actually expecting this type of sheer dominance from one of the most exciting teams in the world.

Magnificent innings by the youngster Mosaddek and also Soumya, man Mosaddek is showing his talent now , one of the best performers in domestics and now going to push Mithun and Sabbir for that world cup final XI. Now the selectors will have some headaches deciding the final XI.
Am excellent series win without Shakib Al Hasan in final and going through the tournament undefeated. In this final WI were in their familiar environment of shorter T20 type match too thanks to rain so good job.

BD faced those players in West Indies , still won the series . This is ODIs not T20s. Today BD were without Shakib who is like two players in one.
I don't think batting for WI was a problem in this series due to the flat pitches so the difference those batsmen will make will not be that big, Hope is their best player now. Their first choice bowling attack still got carted around

Please compare the bowling attack this series to the one that played vs England , see the whole bowling squad . Reifer and Allen are there in this match today because others haven't done well, Reifer did well today

Today WIN was in game because those 3 “2nd choice” bowlers had figured of 10-0-90-5.
Their “1st choice” 3 bowlers (Nurse, Holder & Roach) had figured of 12-0-121-0.

Bangladesh beat full strength West Indies in West Indies back in August 2018. Won both T20I and ODI series and yes hetmeyer hope Russel Gayle they all played

The likes of Sheldon Cottrell, Jason Holder demolished England not so long ago. Shannon Gabriel/Kemar Roach is still far more better than Braitwaite and Gayle bowling against England.

2)Westindies is not in my list of favourites for semifinal and neither i am discrediting bd win against w.i in trination.
3)On a current form Pakistan will not make it to semifinals due to bowling weakness but predicting about pakistan cricket is always difficult you never know they might surprised quite a few
Bd have similar problem like pakistan there bowling is weak though there spinners are good but like pakistan there will struggle on flat pitches. The current worldcup format demand consistency and suite top 4 only so don.t think they will reached semifinals

I like how everyone is assuming we will make it to semifinal (which most likely we will) but we have our own problem aswell. Beside Kohli, both Rohit and Dahwan were seriously out of form. Though, Shikar did get some form back during IPL, hardly anything to gloat about. As you saw in CT, take top 3 out, rest are cherry picking with a bit of proper bowling/pressure.
My personal opinion on PAK cricket, too many anchor role batsmen, not many who can accelerate the innings. You guys are also stuck with a keeper/batsmen who should not be in the playing 11 (just like Dhoni) let alone be the captain of the team. But, I don't see any current leader in the squad either.
My personal opinion on BD cricket, great leader (possibly one of the best going around at the moment) but fragile top order batting. Too much reliant on senior players. Juniors are irresponsible majority of the time. Just like Pakistan, on their day, world beaters, hard to stop them. Any other day, looks good but can't cross the finish line.

Not necessarily. Most of them r t20 mercenaries but not good against international teams since they lack the experience of handling pressures in international matches.
Players like russell is overhyped. He lacks experience and commitment to be considered in any national team. He played only one odi in last 3 years and performed in a rubbish manner.
Frankly speaking, players like Russel, Lewis both of them combined aren't fit enough to hold a candle infront if shakib AL Hasan who also didn't play in the final.
Lastly the level of dominance BD showed in this series was completely out of this world. It was like 1999/2003 Australian team playing agaist Namibia. BD was too good for WI and IRE.

What's surprising is, we didn't even play 50% of our full potential since quite a few of our main players were suffering due to injuries. But still we scored 350s for fun.

Err, don't take that post literally. I was just trying to point out the dominance of our batters. Scoring 213 within 24 overs, 294 within 43 overs and 264 within 45 overs by losing only handful of wickets r equivalent of scoring 350s.

Bangladesh aren't favourite to win the world cup. But if they can play to their full potential and umpires remain neutral, then there's a strong possibility of Bangladesh team to reach the semifinal of the upcoming wc.
Relax bro, you are contradicting yourself now - that AUS side was indeed top favourites for WC, not one but both 2003 & 2007 - and they did win those in style; winning every game, like 25-0 run from 1999 to 2011.
Enjoy the win and let other BD posters enjoy it as well.

Probably I was the first poster here in PP to raise my suspicion that he was not a Bangladeshi and his aim was to make us, the Bangladeshis a center of mockery. He has been successful so far in this regard as many non BD posters still have been taking his comments seriously .
