Well done guys, a brilliant performance. Proud of your efforts in beating a top Indian Team ( who by the way showed real class)

This performance had all our strengths- top, aggressive fast bowling from Afridi, well backed up Haris who didn't bowl any rubbish short bowls and his slower balls were on good lengths. Our strength in batting is Babar and Riz and both played intelligently and were aggressive at the right times and ran brilliantly. It's rare to see PK play like this but great day. Well done PK and also liked classy reaction of the Ind players

I think it is arguably the the greatest. In CT, we got a bit of luck with Bumrah's no ball. This time we ruthlessly dispatched them without any second lives. Also ending the streak and an emphatic 10 wicket victory makes it better.

This is the first time in years Pakistan looked confident from the start vs India. There were some cringe smiles from Hasan and Shadab to Kohli, but apart from that, they looked top.

Even during the CT final, it was only once they had the runs on the board that they looked confident. Maybe Kohli's petrified face during the toss helped boost Babar's confidence. But something has definitely changed, and good for them and their fans.

The pak reaction on this forum seems a bit subdued today for some reason. I thought y'all would be elated opening up 'yipeeeeee! threads.

As an Indian fan - hope it's not any turning point for future Ind-Pak encounters in a WC or otherwise.

CT final is still the greatest Pakistan victory I ever saw. Today's win was surprisingly clinical. Pak dominated from ball one. And the chase was done calmly and confidently, which I dont think was the hallmark of Pak in 2000s. This is a new Pakistan which I am happy to witness.

What was really pathetic was Indian channels like ajj taak said if we would lose it would be an upset.

The fact taht we delivered a 10 wicket win will hurt them alot.

The Miandad 6 in 86, changed the dynamics between the 2 teams all the way until Tendulkars 98 in 2003 WC. And before someone reminds, we may lost the WC matches in that period, but we had the better team. In the last 20 years Ind have been favourites bar the brief Asif-SA period. I would be happy with parity from now on.

Definitely a huge win for Pakistan. The streak lasted for 30 years, it created a psychological hurdle and whenever Pakistan played India in the World Cup in recent years you could see with the fear they played. Hopefully that will be gone now.

Apologies if derailing the thread, but the the way we hammered India in 80s/90s is simply epic.

In 00s/10s Pak were mostly competitive. Probably one of very few teams who won in India as visitors.

Of course Pak players do not get IPL's continuous marketing exposure but stats tell a different story.

(excluding wc games)

Kohli all bark and no bite as usual. He had that 1000 yard stare all through the match. Like he had seen a ghost

It's Pakistan, not Bangladesh. Pakistan was among the top 3 team in the world from 1970s until 2000. And still wont T20 WC and Champions Trophy after that. The streak was bound to be broken eventually, it was an outlier given Pakistan's H2H record against India.

Winning against India in World Cup and that too with 10 wickets is really the greatest. I felt like we have taken revenge of all the world cup loses in just one game.

But the less the teans played the more our players froze. I always felt that the Tendulkar innings in 2003 gave the upper hand and although we have had some good moments since then, Ind are generally the favourites going into these matches.

I think this is the best Pakistani performance in T20 format ever.

Unbelievable performance and one for the ages.

India needed to break that opening partnership. Rizwan and Babar are a class above, if you had got through to the middle order might have tested Pak a bit more.

This was such a complete performance.
No one can call it a fluke like CT, bcoz here we actually recovered from early wickets and made some runs still fell way short

This is Pakistan they are capable of a big performance against any team in home conditions basically we were underrated but will we back it up because inconsistency has been our problem for a long time now.
Such low to mid scoring matches bring out the best in us in UAE but can we keep it up.

Right behind the 2017 CT Final for me! Unbelievable performance, I was certain we'd win but not like this!

The more I look at the performance the more it gives confidence for the future. The team has a decent look to it and if we find a couple decent Middle bats than watch out everyone in the shorter formats

It's not the 2000s buddy, it's the 2020s - we're in the third decade of the century :afridi

Rarely have seen calmness from Pakistan in pressure games. I think Babar and Rizwan have got a lot to do with this. The other thing going around is the demeanor by the Pakistani players in this match and the build up to the tournament. They gave due respect and admiration to the Indian players before the game also.

T20 is such a short order format that it actually suits Pakistan in that you don't really need 6 batsmen. But you need good bowlers.

Im glad i was able to witness this match. If someone comes here and says it was a fluke I would disagree because this was not a fluke.

The energy that was there from the Pakistan team, the build up. The way the Pakistan team entered and everyone was active.

On every ball there were 4-5 Pakistani players on it. They were very active. They didnt let India to steal an extra run. Loved the energy

And than the fitness of our openers. They stole the 2 runs even in the 16th over

Its a good win nothing more for Pakistan! Winning against any team mean nothing if you cant go ahead in win the tournament. CT final win was the biggest Pakistan win against India in ICC tournaments and for India inaugural T20 final win.

We have the basis of a team. No doubt we need a stronger middle order to consistently challenge Ind and Eng but at least we have something to work with

I'd rate 2017 CT final over this win. That was a final where we were real underdogs and India were supposed to walk all over us. We beat them to pulp that day. Yesterday was an amazing win too but I rate ODIs over T20s so...
