It's Yousuf's seventh hundred in this calender year, equalling Viv Richards and Aravinda de SIlva. As I type, Ricky Ponting looks to be on his way to his seventh ton this year at Brisbane
 
Great ton by MoYo. Pak need to pick it up if they want to have time to bowl WI out.

I dont think Pak are playing with a win in mind
 
Even if we did manage a good lead with some hitting, which we won't unless there is a miracle, we don't have the attack good enough to get rid of 10 batsman that quickly!

Both Moyo and and Inzi should just bat out the day.
Moyo is aiming for some sort of a record. While
Inzi has to get back to form before the final test and the odi series.

stop expecting a miracle. I would be happy to see if Moyo bats long and Inzi gets back to some form.
 
MoYo and Inzi themselves don't know what they're going for. They're right in the middle. Not defending like madwacks nor are they trying to get 36/over.

there is still an hour to go before Lunch....so we can get the lead up to 100 and if we still have 7 wickets in hand then there is no harm in playing some big shots for 15-17 overs!
 
Inzy may as well get some batting practise.

Inzyhas already said ..they want at least 200-250 before they make their next decision or not at all.

i think match will be over by 75over mark today if pak dont declare unless Moyo aint playing for a double or inzy for a ton.

We should just bat the whole day for two reasons:

Its highly unlikely that we will set a good target AND bowl West Indies out.
Lets just get some good batting practice bcause of the odds...
 
How many runs do you guys think Pak will feel safe defending on this wicket, assuming they want to give themselves time to bowl out WI?
 
boy Inzi's slump in form has started to worry me.
The big SAF tour is coming up and then World Cup. He has historically underperformed in major tournaments. :31:

he just cant move about like he used to

taylor had him in struggles like hell all day today with the inswinging ball

The CC.com folks have a different way of looking at the score - 4/50. How much will Pak need before they declare and try to bowl WI out?

Movement is vital.
Well if you miss straight deliveries that is a worry.
 
I don't think Pak has a choice. I feel a collapse coming on.

If not then I will say around 250. But it also depends on how much time is left.
 
Bowl out WI? I guess those who think pakistan can win here..in my opinion have no understanding of this game.
 
I reckon if Pak can somehow get to 200 in the next 30 overs (that's a RR of 5), that gives them 35 overs to get WI out. WI will fancy their chances of chasing 200 down and may take risks.

considering the pitch, the match situation and the way colly and Taylor are bowling i don't think PAK will be able to score at 5 Runs/over

It'll be a draw then. I don't think 200 will be enough against Gayle and Co anyway.
 
58 overs left today. 2 overs lost through a changeover and realistically Windies need 10 overs at least to chase us down if we were all out now. We need to bat for 25 -30 overs to be safe
 
Collymore to Mohammad Yousuf, no run, Peach of a delivery. Lands on a length, outside the offstump, leaves Yousuf who hangs his bat out. Almost fatal but the ball just whizzes past the outside edge. Colly Collymore reminds me of Javagal Srinath. Unlucky. :))
 
Malik gone, defends on the backfoot but the ball bounces back and gently knocks one of the bails off.
 
Malik gone, geez no more thought of victory now for Pak. They're going to need to get into survival mode as WI will have their tails up.
