Pakistan should really get that dew spray, the outfield is a slippery mess
 
Talat is one of the most mentally weak cricketers I have ever seen. He should not be playing international cricket. For some reason Misbah seems to be a fan of his.
 
Shamsi having a good game but not enough as Faheem will finish it if it comes to that.

Babar could be deemed the culprit indirectly for his bowling decisions.

Pakistan have keept the required rate that was asked , and now with some big hitters left in hut can take some chances.
 
Babar was destined be a 40+ average player seems like he’s gonna go the typical Pakistani route now and average 35
 
Let’s be honest. Babar doesn’t look like he can pull this off. If Pakistan has to win this someone else will have to step up and take charge.

I hope he proves me wrong but his body language and presence at the crease doesn’t ooze any confidence.

Please stop comparing him with Virat Kohli. He is nothing like him.

Kohli is a fierce competitor who was pulling off unreal run chases when he was Babar’s age. He had that air of invincibility about him that Babar has never had.

He is simply not a dominant player.

If he pulls it off I am happy to have my humble pie, but this is what I am feeling at this point.

Well to be honest he is just another one of our current cricketers, majority of whom are mentally not that strong.
 
The blueprint should've been to just play Shamsi out for 20 odd runs without giving him a wicket. Yet he's wrecking the team. Now it's Talat against Shamsi. God help Talat.

There's no batting left at all. These two have to bat till 16th over at least and that too at 8 rpo.

Not that hard of an equation from here so babar can pull it off. If it was kohli then he would have chased even 110 from here.
 
Babar needs to score a 50 here as I don't really trust any of the remaining batsmen. Have a feeling if he doesn't score we might scrape him with some dribs and drabs from the rest. A 15 here, a 20 there....

Even if he pulls its off you still can’t compare him to kohli. Kohli is once in a generation batsman
 
We are doing fine, the run rate is under control and we are on track. No need to do anything reckless, keep milking the singles as long as you can

Disagree. He might not be there at the end, but could easily see him getting us most of the way there.

Babar is the best in Pakistan , not in Asia , let alone the world.
None of Pakistan greats in Batting were best in Asia . Miandad , Inzamam, Yusuf , Saeed Anwar were always below Gavaskar , Tendulkar , Kohli , Sangakara.
 
That should be the last time we see Talat in Pakistan colours

What is Talat's obsession with going inside out, I cannot understand. I've seen him try and fail at it throughout his career.
 
There we go. As I said, I just don't trust any of the newcomer batsmen, they all look like fish out of water. Don't expect anything from Asif Ali either. He's not a batsman, just a hit and hope slogger.
 
Didn't read the straight one. Poor series for Talat has been found to be a douche at International level.

I don’t know, he looks nervous and in survival mode. You can keep him on one end and get the other batsmen out.

Babar doesn’t have the crease presence of the great players.

I think players have a limit , a capacity beyond which it is futile to expect them to perform , Babar also has a limit. There is nothing wrong with that, you cannot have several match winners in one team. Hardly a team has 1 - 3 match-winners at a time.

Have you seen his innings in South Africa in 2018? Where he choked and lost us a game we should have won?

Take someone special to lose a game like that one. Which is why he sits atop all the others

Bye bye Talat.

Unfortunately for Talat, he isn't made for T20I. He's more of a ODI and Test type batting allrounder.

He also cuts a depressed figure. I have never seen him smile or act joyful in the field. Doesn’t seem to mingle and socialize with the other players either.

That's because he's not a great player. But he is still one of the best, and certainly Pakistan's best.
 
With Misbah around and Babar being such a meek captain and person, I would not be surprised to see Talat, Cha Cha Ifti, Khusdil and Asif staging another comeback.

I agree he was ordinary in that match and rightfully dropped but, what do we have in store for T20s middle order? Nothing much unfortunately. That is why almost same players find their way back again.
 
I don’t think any of our players can replicate that inning from Miller bar Babar. Like not even by fluke. They are too mentally weak
