I've been saying for a while the middle-order is too maligned. They often don't get a chance until it's too late. The world's greatest middle order can't do much if they only come in in the last few overs already under tremendous pressure because of slow early going. I've heard Babar say that's their strategy, to preserve wickets, or words along those lines. They're trying to play T20s not the T20 way ever since this Rizwan/Babar opening combo started. Before that they were playing proper T20 cricket. If a player was too slow they would hit out and get out.
