What's new

Pakistan [267/7] beat India [264/8] by 3 runs to qualify for final of ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup

Pathetic performance from Pakistan. The green tinted hype brigade have no shame.

India's inexperience was the reason for bottling it in the last 15 overs. They dominated 70-80% of the contest but couldn't finish.

So embarrassing to see posters relish this. You guys really do have a small team mentality.

It was a poor performance, but it's good to be on the winning side in a close finish. For once. We rarely win such games, specially against India, no matter the level.

What are you even talking about lol?
You're talking as if our players had 100+ list a matches of experience

It's u23 FGS. There's no such thing as "experience" in this type of format. Just look at the stats of the pakistani players most haven't even played 10 list a matches yet

Stop embarrassing yourself

Pathetic performance from Pakistan .

Performance should have been better and should have won convincingly. However, as I said potential aside Pak team also had 6-7 players with not much of an experience.

Some of wrist slitting was over the top but
No one should deny our pathetic battimg which almost cost us the match .Sadly no one in batting is showing any sign of modern day cricket which is cause of concern

I was doing that cause I was so disappointed in our performance when I left India were 156/2 no way they were losing but wow what a comeback but you still can’t deny how terrible of a performance this was in our batting despite this being a relu katta Indian attack. Anways congratulations Alooparatha bro my jinx worked and Pakistan won

Shivam Mavi has played more list A games (16) than Hasnain. While Hasnain has played international cricket with 4 T20s and 5 ODIs he still is really inexperienced and has played ODIs upon potential rather than actually delivering in List A cricket.

If he would have had around 50 List A matches under his belt than it would have been another matter. We cant Judge him based upon a total number of 10 list A matches. He is still raw and inexperienced and he is gonna blow hot and cold unless he gets more games under his belt and improves his overall radar just like any other young bowler we have.
Decent point.

However, I do expect Hasnain to start kicking on now. He bowled a sensational spell against Lanka, so he definitely has it in him to atleast dominate this level and build up confidence. Frustrating to see him go at 7 RPO against mediocre noobs.

Hoping for better performances from him. He has to realize how special his skillset is, and works hard to be the best.

He went 6 rpo to be honest with a great last spell he is a work in progress and good to see he can now bowl more then 4 overs.

Hasnain is great but Indian batsmen were mediocre?

Ok, I didn't even know about such a tournament and still don't know what is the criterion for selection. If India had won, not like I'd have been ecstatic. Only Jaffer seems familiar from the scorecard.

But still. It's India-Pakistan. Don't know why Pak's win is being run down. If India couldn't chase, not sure how that lessens the Pak victory. Does it matter for example that India were dominant in the last WC but failed in the SF. How does that make them a WC winner.

Whoever wins, wins.

And if indeed the Indian team was some mediocre bunch (with better prospects deliberately left out) and Pak fielded their best possible team, that's the Indian selection committee's problem. Not Pakistan's.

Congrats Pak.

Any win in cricket against each other is significant. How significant is individual perspective depending on how much you care about a tournament. But it still is significant.

How can anyone call this Pak XI the best possible one??
Where's musa, naseem or Shaheen??
Not there because of international duties.
So this is not Pakistan's best possible team either.

:))) :)))

Wow. We are the best.

Commiserations to Shafi MeanAndGreen (long-time follower who predicted the future so well) and Darkrai - come again :shh :shh :shh

These players can be developed, there are things to work with. People need to chill.

Skilled Then ? coz it seemed like he should had blown away the Indian batsmen from your post because they were mediocre?
Yes, you expect a lad who has played international cricket to be more skilled as compared to people who have hardly played 10 FC games and are literal nobodies in Indian cricket.

What do you think?

Just be happy we somehow defeated India, doesn’t matter what level. We are not exactly used to it.

So either of em are over hyped and under hyped then.

Pakistan won that's the main thing

Yes pakistan openers played very slow but they won the game.

They have some players who can progress such as ammad butt, rohail nazir, mohsin and haider ali

Well done to the pakistan boys!
Hard luck to the indian boys, i didn't see the match, but everyone says india should have won but for inexperience.
Never mind, the indian boys will learn from this and the pakistani boys can gain confidence from this win, as we don't beat india very often these days, at any level. How times have changed, in my youth, it was india who hardly ever beat us.

The PK team was in a no win situation - if they lost they were going to get it, if they win some will give no credit as we were expected to win and if they hamered Ind, then Ind had no players and the victory was meaningless. Well done for winning and more importantly it will help with the development of The likes of Umair, Haider and most importantly Rohail.

In the last ten years, even in defeat the Indian team has really stretched Pakistan close. But whenever Pakistan has lost, they have lost massively. Sums up the gap between the two countries

Ct17 final?

What a shameful victory. Proper humiliation for Pakistan.

Shame on you for saying that I know you support India but still in fact it's an amazing win to consider the fact that for the most part the way India batted it seem like they were going to win

Congratz to the boys in green a well deserved win

Greetings to Pakistan cricket fans. Congratulations for the win. It wasn't a bad Indian side- guys like Mavi, p
Desai, Jaffer. Also there were several guys doing well in U 23.
