What's new

Pakistan [267/7] beat India [264/8] by 3 runs to qualify for final of ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup

Mohsin should have played - the leggie. And the openers need a wake up call, their SR has been awful.

A team like that ought to be doing better against a C team India.

a massive slap on all those Pakistani saddistic fans who were bashing the players.. a massive massive slap

I dont know whether they win or not but the fight put up by the guys is amazing.... and thinking that it is done by players who DO NOT HAVE much international or first class experience ... a massive massive massssive slap ...

A fight is what as a fan, we shld expect from the team and they have done .... excellent... Saif Badar and Khushdil shah proving their worth and so did Ammad and Hussnain ... well done boys ... the point of saying "dont care if u win this or lose this, we def love you for this fight and slapping the sadiests in their rightful place"

It was really lucky win. This Indian team is lack of experience and big players. But win is always win. Our batsmen should scored more plus we should play 1 extra bowler than batsman

India should have won the match no doubt they will be bitterly disappointed for sure but i guess win is a win..i dont like this Team combo as mohammed mohsin has to come in somehow

197/3.. lol at Muhammad Husnain.. 7 overs 50 runs for an international player against a D team of India.

He won us the game.
Stop celebrating prematurely lol.
Shafi just be quiet next time

thapank thapank thapank ... the slap to the lot ... well played india... the fans shld be disappointed but it was a good fight... the slaps r for the crappers wolves in green shirts...

We won, a bit close for comfort though.

They need to bring back Sameen Gul and Mohammad Mohsin in the next game, in place of Akif Javed and Imran Rafiq

India will chase it with 3 wickets down and 10 overs to spare 🤭 D&G brigade will never learn and call it match against India E team. You can only ay against the team on field. Pak too have many players missing.

Lack of talent. Fear is one thing but silled players can easily overcome that.

So much for this being a strong team. Doesn't matter how good these lads are in terms of skill, when they are too mentally weak to perform.

I think Pakistan fans are probably one of the most impatient in the world. This team is undefeated and they had a few bad overs today and you guys began counting them out lol.

They have to drop one of Saud, Khushdil or Amad to play Mohsin. Only three over-23 players allowed.

the snails and incests coming out taming this shameful victory like pests coming out after rain.. chchchc ... burnol for the crappers?

We were playing our international players while india played players with a mere 3 to 4 fc match experience.Signs are worrying.

plz explain , apart from Hussnain, who is 18 btw, who was the international player?

Omair, Haider, Rohail, Saif, Imran , Umer Hussnain, Saud, Akif .... u crying like they have 300 internationals under their belt lol ...

Congratulations Pakistan emerging team for another fluke
Lol just kidding
Well played Indian emerging side as they were facing almost international bowling(upcoming) attack of Pakistan and a better team but still showed so much courage by getting this match a lot closer than expected
Kudos to both the teams

There were only 2 international players and they are barely international players. They should bring back Sameen for Akif and Mohsin for Rafiq in the final for the strongest team.

Clap to Amad for defending 8 runs in the last over. I don't understand how is Faheem playing ahead of him in pak national team. One thing I like about Amad is that he is gutsy and mentally strong.

What a shameful victory. Proper humiliation for Pakistan.

Humiliation is overdoing it, but indeed a very poor performance and lucky to get over the line. Captaincy and management were terrible today.

so you were waiting till last ball :smithbut i agree pathetic batting from pakistan

Didn’t even know there was a match today. I just saw the scorecard and was shocked to see a bunch of average Indian youngsters almost beating our so-called big stars of the future.

Indian batting talent, resources and training is at different level to Pakistan. Pak players also do not have much I international exposure. So considering everything a good victory though too close for comfort. Umar Khan should have bowled much earlier, and Khushdil batted earlier then Pak would have won easier.

Lol.. people are over reacting. International experience aside our pak player who were playing today don't have PSL experience too.
This was great match between two evenly matched sides

There is no comparison between India and Pakistan. India is an elite side and Pakistan is a small one.

We cannot compete with them at any level and can only hope for fluke wins.

How many times you will repeat same thing.
Either Pakistan win or loose your arguments always remain constant.

Every team goes through phases. They are better than us in the current phase. We have been better than them previously and we are not a small cricketing nation by any means

You do know the total FC experience of our main 3 bowlers (Akif,Hasnain,Umer) is less then 5 FC games all together

well lets face it guys...Bangladesh are favourites to win this tournament as they absolutely destroyed India in last match

What a game! Congrats to both teams for putting a grand show. At the end, it’s the inexperience on Indian squad that cost them - quite talented bunch, but missing real time match experience in domestics. Umair’s innings almost cost PAK E the game, but Indian boys couldn’t do it. Very good captaincy by Saud as well - handicapped by one less bowler, but planned his end game very well.

Congratulations pakistan. Always knew that pakistan may talent bohat hay.

for those crying , first class matches for the pak team,

apart from Saud, Ammad and Khushdil, not many have expereince and most of the remaining were playing their first season

Haider 6
Rohail 9

Ammad 34

Are we in the final already!!!!! Every game starts from scratch - you can’t predict any result based on what A & B did against C.

you have another opportunity in final to wrist slit

Why is this a lucky win?

Our openers need to be play with more positive attitude. 29/0 in 10 overs will not help us to win most of the matches. Our batsmen need to learn how to dominate opposition bowlers rather than be too respective. By being positive attitude with bit of aggression (not slogging) we can overcome our limitation and create fear factor to opposition better bowlers.

To be honest Pakistan is not that much more experienced then India barring Saud,Amad and Khushdil rest of the side are fringe domestic players or players in their first season. Yes Hasnain has int experience but that is more to do with selectors giving too much importance to PSL as every one knows he is very raw and is a work in progress and with just 1 FC game experience this makes Mavi more experienced then him.

What a sad soul this guy has.--
as we say in Punjabi."Ays pindo kadi khair di khabar nai Aai".

he is actually mad at his parents , for being born in pakistan lol.. ignore him, he is a rash that just is irritating but useless n worthless the time

Can all the wrist slitters on here be banned please. Bunch of girls moaning throughout the game makes it unbearable to follow it on here.

People rinsing our Saud’s captaincy earlier are clueless. He’s known to be a very good captain coming up through the junior ranks. Insha’Allah he gets a big score in final.

they can only play three over 23s...i feel sorry for mohsin though has performed every game he played in

Bro!!!! You don't get the point what people are talking out. People want to see more proactive openers rather than Shehzad and Azhar type of opening combo.
We are not asking our players to play like Rohit/Gilchrist/Gayle/Jason/Guptill/Bearstow type innings knowing the limitation of our players. Just play positive with rotation of strike and strike rate around 90-110. Is it too much to ask?

Pakistan beat India by three runs, qualify for final of ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2019

Lahore, November 20 2019:

India managed 264 for the loss of eight wickets in 50 overs after Pakistan scored 267 for seven in 50 overs.

Pakistan will face Afghanistan or Bangladesh in the final of the tournament to be played on 23 November.

India at one point were cruising towards victory requiring 57 runs with seven wickets in hand in13 overs, but back to back wickets of Yash Rathod (13) and Armaan Jaffer (46) on the score of 211 put breaks to the batting line.

Sanvir Singh top-scored with a 90-ball 76 which included five fours and a six.

Right-arm pacer Amad Butt bowled superbly in the death overs, he gave away only four runs in the 50th over of India’s innings and ended-up with match figures of one for 43 in 10 overs.

Mohammad Hasnain and Saif Badar chipped in with two wickets apiece for 61 and 57 runs, respectively.

Batting first after winning the toss, openers Haider Ali (43 off 60 balls) and Omair Bin Yousuf (66 off 97 balls) provided a solid start to the innings and added 90 for the first-wicket. Haider’s innings included five fours and a six, while Omair hit three fours and two sixes.

After the departure of the openers, Rohail Nazir coming to bat at number three got off to a start, but fell after scoring 35 off 41 balls, hitting two fours and a six.

Saif Badar down the order scored an unbeaten 48-ball 47 which included a four and a six.

For India, Hrithik Shokeen, Saurabh Dubey and Shivam Mavi took two wickets apiece.

Afghanistan and Bangladesh will feature in the second semi-final of the tournament tomorrow. The winner of the match will play against Pakistan in the final.

Scores in brief:

Pakistan v India, first semi-final, Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium, Coxs Bazar

Pakistan 267-7, 50 overs (Omair Bin Yousuf 66, Saif Badar 47 not out, Haider Ali 43, Rohail Nazir 35; Hrithik Shokeen 2-59, Saurabh Dubey 2-60, Shivam Mavi 2-53)

India 264-8, 50 overs (Sanvir Singh 76, B Ravi Sharath 47, Armaan Jaffer 46, Chinmay Sutar 28 not out; Amad Butt 1-43, Mohammad Hasnain 2-61, Saif Badar 2-57)

Result: Pakistan win by three runs

Good news is after a while our junior team has performed well hopefully it continues

In the final Sameen Gul (Akif Javed), Mohammad Mohsin (Umer/Ammad) and Hasan Mohsin (Omair) should play to strength our bowling and batting

Did you watch the game? Does anyone even have any idea how the pitch played early on? It quite clearly wasn’t a flat pitch and India may have bowled well.

These are young kids who don’t have much experience yet you guys are expecting them to go out there and play like seasoned pros. Let them play and learn from experiences. They will develop and improve - that’s the point of these tournaments.

That's fine but these are not 15-17 years old players so development should not take more than 2 -3 years.

Regardless of the overall play Pakistan made a comeback when it mattered the most and India couldn't finish it. Great victory for Pakistan!

They turned it around pretty well. But the fact that most of these guys have played a lot of first-class cricket compared to their Indian counterparts, should have meant a comfortable win.

Anyhow, we need to work on these lads' mental toughness.

We are just asking for an opener with an mindset like sharjeel.

Other than Khusdil, Amad, Saud and Badar none of the Pak players have palyed even 15 list A matches and have pretty similar List A experience to their Indian counterparts.

i am pretty sure the final will be broadcasted...i agree with posts here we do need to be proactive for sure if we are to succeed in future..but atleast we dont have fakhar ..awais zia etc openers who dont have a technique and do not value their wickets...all learning curve inshallah

Those four did play in all games, so you cannot discount them.

Also Hasnain has international level experience. He should have done better than go at 7 RPO against these noobs.

A really good win in a semi final. Congrats to Pakistan team and the fans.

Nice to see some solid openers wearing a Pakistan shirt after quite sometime unlike the Pakistan National Team

Omair Yusuf and Haider Ali started slow in first 15 overs going at scoring rate of 3 but gradually took it up to 4. Nice positive intent shown by the batting side. Once Omair got out Saud hit 3 consecutive 4s in the same over but could not survive long. Rest also played well minus Badr and Rafiq.

Both played a lot of dot balls in the last 10 overs esp. Saif Badar he was playing dots even in the 50th over. Pakistan ended 10-15 runs short.

India were off to a flying start, they could've win if not for important breakthrough by Pakitan team at the end.

Umer Khan is an incredible find alongwith Amad Butt hoping against hope they are fast tracked into the national team.

Some of wrist slitting was over the top but
No one should deny our pathetic battimg which almost cost us the match .Sadly no one in batting is showing any sign of modern day cricket which is cause of concern

Also Hasnain has international level experience. He should have done better than go at 7 RPO against these noobs.

Shivam Mavi has played more list A games (16) than Hasnain. While Hasnain has played international cricket with 4 T20s and 5 ODIs he still is really inexperienced and has played ODIs upon potential rather than actually delivering in List A cricket.

If he would have had around 50 List A matches under his belt than it would have been another matter. We cant Judge him based upon a total number of 10 list A matches. He is still raw and inexperienced and he is gonna blow hot and cold unless he gets more games under his belt and improves his overall radar just like any other young bowler we have.

Pathetic performance from Pakistan. The green tinted hype brigade have no shame.

India's inexperience was the reason for bottling it in the last 15 overs. They dominated 70-80% of the contest but couldn't finish.

So embarrassing to see posters relish this. You guys really do have a small team mentality.
