Pakistan (337/3) take a 2-0 lead after an emphatic 7-wicket victory over New Zealand (336/5)

Babar wanted Fakhar to stay in at the crease so that NZ don’t bring on the left arm spinner? Why? Is Babar worried about facing him?

It's quite obvious you want the oppositions weak link to bowl in the pressure moments. So you try and delay his overs.

Just like in two games vs India we had to bowl Nawaz right at the end because of Pandya, same principle.

For someone who claims to watch a lot, your level of understanding is shocking.

It’s Rachin Ravindra, not Daniel Vettori!

Why is Babar so worried about him coming on to bowl?

You are clearly not getting the point.

NZ has three front line bowlers: Henry, Shipley, and Sodhi. They have two weak links: Rachin and Neesham.

NZ want to get rid of weak link overs as fast as they can. Pakistan wants to delay it so that Ravindra and Neesham have to bowl at the death under pressure.

Fakhar at the crease means they will not feed Ravindra to him because he is turning the bowl in his arc. Everyone knows long on and mid-wicket is his zone.

Therefore the weak link will have to bowl at the death.

It is basic cricket man. Pretty sure anyone who watches the game knows this. Nothing to do with being afraid.

Right

And Babar isn’t equipped to deal with Rachin and Neesham during the middle phase? As in take them down at the time?
