Most if not all of these drones are for surveillance. India wants information on any upcoming strikes heading towards them .

As someone wrote before , better than being reincarnated as a beetle.

Jokes aside, india wanting a full out war is strange, businesses will pull out, tourism will die , many deaths , communal disorder and violence. Pakistan will suffer too but the damage to India will be huge .
 
#BREAKING: Today morning Indian Armed Forces targeted Air Defence Radars and systems at a number of locations in Pakistan. Indian response has been in the same domain with same intensity as Pakistan.

It has been reliably learnt that an Air Defence system at Lahore has been neutralised.

Pakistan has increased the intensity of its unprovoked firing across the Line of Control using Mortars and heavy calibre Artillery in areas in Kupwara, Baramulla, Uri, Poonch, Mendhar and Rajouri sectors in Jammu and Kashmir.

Sixteen innocent lives have been lost, including three women and five children, due to Pakistani firing. Here too, India was compelled to respond to bring Mortar and Artillery fire from Pakistan to a halt.

Indian Armed Forces reiterate their commitment to non-escalation, provided it is respected by the Pakistani military.

Where will Pakistan get the money, to buy drones, from ? They are already strained as it is.
 
Things are going a little too far for my liking. Indian leadership seems to have made up their minds to keep climbing the escalation ladder as needed.

India doesnt have any economic dependency intertwined near the India-Pakistan border.

Without Naval support, Pakistan cannot reach any major economic centers in India. Air defense systems are strong near Delhi.

But I agree on the financial burden on the nation. If JeM and LeT gets destroyed in the process, its worth it.

Else, they might plan another attack in future as revenge. Hopefully, all the terrorist outfits including BLA gets decimated in Pakistan quickly.

Not sure of the target, bro. Definitely there were a couple of missiles near LPU hostel and our SAMs intercepted them. Videos on social media. Both sides are tight-lipped but it must be true otherwise India wouldn't go for today's attacks. If they didn't attack yday, it would have been quiet.
 

Pakistan foreign minister says it shot down Indian jets with Chinese-made aircraft​

Pakistan’s foreign minister said that the country’s military had used Chinese-made aircraft to shoot down five Indian fighter jets the day before.

Pakistan said it shot down the Indian jets – three French-made Rafales, a MiG-29 and an Su-30 fighter – after India launched airstrikes on what it claimed were “terrorist” sites inside Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir.

The Indian government and military have not responded to Pakistan’s claims or confirmed any losses. CNN has not been able to independently verify these claims. A high-ranking French intelligence official told CNN Pakistan had downed one Rafale, and that French authorities were investigating whether any more had been shot down.

“Our jet fighters were J-10Cs that shot down the three French Rafales and other jets,” said Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Wednesday, speaking in Parliament.

He added that by 4 a.m. on Wednesday, there was “an entire Chinese team at the Foreign Office along with their ambassador” being updated on what had taken place.

When asked about Dar’s comments, a spokesperson from China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Thursday he was “not familiar” with the situation, and hadn’t seen “any relevant information” about the activities of the Chinese ambassador to Pakistan.

China is Pakistan’s main arms supplier, with Chinese arms making up 81% of Pakistan’s weapons imports in the past five years, according to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute.

On Wednesday, China urged both sides to de-escalate – saying it “expressed regret over India’s military action against Pakistan.”

Some context: The J-10C is a single-engine fighter jet. J-10s first flew in the Chinese air force in the early 2000s, but the latest version — the J-10C – has improved weapon systems and is classified as a 4.5-generation fighter, a rung below 5th-generation stealth jets like China’s J-20 or the US F-35.

The latest versions of the US’ F-16 fighters are also 4.5-generation aircraft.

The J-10C is manufactured by Chinese state-owned company Avic Chengdu Aircraft, which saw its shares in Shenzhen surge after the India-Pakistan escalation. Shares on Thursday closed 40% higher than they had on Tuesday before the escalation, according to Refinitiv data.

Any militia can fire missiles on any country. You really dont understand modern warfare. Houthis hit tel Aviv airport. Be patient. Pakistan has no choice to respond with its missiles now. Hope you have plenty of lentil popcorn and Bollywood movies
 
No report of Pakistan attacked Amritsar on international media so far, let's wait till a credible source shows up

I think it already escalated going by the press release of Indian army. If they attack cities like Amritsar and Jalandhar, a response has to be given.

Our Air defense systems have come to our aid luckily. Else, imagine the loss today morning. I dont think further escalation through air will happen.

But shelling along the border may continue until Pak’s army to build a narrative for their people.

A strong radar systems will detect suicide drones far away. India has home built drones. So, India wont be losing sleep around it.

Its all about missile tech. India has 3 SAM-400s and home built Aakash SAM as protective layer. SAMs have radar detection upto 1000 kms. So, unless a massive counter attack from PAF, India shouldnt worry

Whatever is going on is wrong. I have lost alot of respect from so many posters here who are more or less enjoying this conflict and celebrating the loss of life.

Hatred towards the 2 countries is one thing but this is too much. Many posters going on my ignore list now.

I lost respect for them a long time ago.

They were also cheering when Israel was bombing Palestinian women and children.

This is why I don't find it necessary to be politically correct with Indians.

This hasn’t even truly begun yet Pakistan is preparing to respond in a big way, and the awaam are ready to embrace shahadat if it comes to that.

Right now, Pakistan is allowing India to make its moves, not out of weakness, but to clearly demonstrate to the international community who the aggressor is so when Pakistan attack back it will be big and no fingers pointed either at Pakistan

This is about keeping innocent civilian life out of it. Many of these degenerates aren't sharing news, their sharing news with the dual intent of celebrating harm. It's very easy to read in between the lines.

Coming from a below middle class to having a decent job in India, mine and many people’s focus has always been economic development.

For me humanity > religion and patriotism is kind of intertwined between the two. Will not be the case for you or other posters here, but I feel humanity should come first.

We will be pushing ourselves down with these wars. Sad state of affairs. All these because of 4 islamist radicals in J&K!

That's fine but what are the property dealers waiting for india is openly attacking whole of pakistan it's killed and injured nearly a 100 pakistanis , and is arming and funding the bla who just killed many troops In bolan pass just today.

So question is where is the retaliation and taking the attack to India what exactly are they waiting for ?

Is this going to be the new norm for pakistani civilians to get attacked daily like people in gaza and ukraine

Drones are cheap, they have thousands . You can also modify almost any drone in a shop to drop grenades .

btw the war is now with Pakistan. Civilians are being targeted or you missed this ?

What will you say about the attacks yesterday on Indian cities? Or the 26 lost lives in Pehalgam?

Even if Pakistan hasnt taken the responsibility, they should have atleast wiped out terror outfits such as JeM or LeT for diplomacy talks. Do you also think JeM and LeT doesnt operate from Pakistan?

Hearing reports that Pakistan tried to launch a missile attack last night but it was neutralised using s400 and Aakash missile shields...

India responded with Israeli drones that entered Karachi and did damage there.

Indians now saying if Pakistan makes another attempt like what they did in Amritsar last night, then Indian retaliation will be a lot heavier than the first missile attack....

This needs to stop asap from both sides, things are going to spiral out of control....

I don’t mind anything coming from certain Pakistani posters whom i know can take as much as they can dish it and they never resort to foul language. Otherwise this is war time little bit of sledging and banter is part of it everyone gotta develop thick skin right now.

I must say Pakistani posters have never acted more maturely and this current crop of PP boys is the best ever in its history. A bunch of well raised boys mostly who take great care of peoples religious and national sensitivities.
 

Pakistan takes down 25 Israeli-made drones sent by India: ISPR​


Pakistan’s armed forces have taken down 25 Israeli-made Harop drones that have been sent to the country since last night, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has said.

“The Pakistan armed forces, using their soft-kill (technical) and hard-kill (weaponised) skills fully, have shot down 25 Israeli-made Harop drones sent by India,” the military said.

It said India was “panicked by the elimination of its five modern jets, several drones and soldier deaths” caused by Pakistan’s response to its airstrikes on May 6.

i already conveyed about drones in my first point. It was surprising actually that Indian drones reached Lahore. Drones have lower speed than missiles and most anti-drone technologies would have high rate of interception.

Missile tech was a separate thing I mentioned in the context of real damage
 
These are suicide drones from the sounds of things, they just find a target and crash/explode..

What it going to take to just end this nightmare?. This is going to get out of control, we are heading into dangerous waters here..
