Mohammad Asif made Ponting, Pietersen, Laxman, Sehwag look like bunnies which is why he is more fondly remembered. Abbas must also do the same and get Williamson out on a consistent basis.

He pretty much ended de Villiers’ career as an opener. Anderson has been similar to Asif in terms of troubling the top batsmen and getting a high percentage of top-order wickets.

His lack of pace has resulted in him not being every effective in cleaning the tail. With a bit more pace, he would arguably be averaging 22-23 with a better strike rate.

When you watch opposition teams play against us , when we bowl a part time bowler they always look to score against them and ensure that they put the loose balls away. Our batsmen don't always seem to the same.
