since the first test ended..i was asking for Abdul rehman! in this entire test we missed him
 
Kallis off the mark. Fielder didn't attack the ball, should have been a dot.
 
SA should still get this. They're attacking and inching closer to the target rather than blocking and stagnating the RR, so no real pressure is being applied really.
 
The choke is on. Kallis is a certified choker, he actually has a PhD in choking after graduating from Choke University. Will get out soon. :ajmal

That is also a HUGE difference. If Pakistani batsman try that same single, its run out, and probably run out by a full foot!!

Most teams do not score in singles in tests anymore. Most teams field so well, its really hard to rotate the strike.

Of course, when you play the worst fielding side in test cricket which is Pak, all of a sudden, all these singles on offer....
 
66/2 at tea. lolling at the Pakistanis in the crowd being picked up by the mics. :)))
 
man.... if we had rehman i could see another abu dhabi happening... but ajmal needs desperate help.


gul bowls one good ball every 4 overs and 10 bad ones. irfan been good but he will tire, his pace is a bit down from earlier. hafeez is gonna get spanked by amla, so we can only use hafeez against the tail. and karachi express.... well lacks pace

Im sorry, no, this is not good bowling. Has our standard dropped SO much cause of Gul???

This is the same pitch where THREE times (and once that ball change in 4th inning) RSA got a new ball, and they DESTROYED us!!

we have to speak relitively to what we have in our resources.... currently we dont have a good new ball bowler. gul is a veteran and is always not up to the task. irfan for his debut has done a good job and has been the our best seamer. yes, he's no steyn but he's been good compared to gul and karachi express.
 
Gul has to be shown the way out after this series... You just cannot build a fast bowling unit with him around as a senior, bad example for youngsters, he is not cut out for this level... If management does not understand that, well then good luck with Pakistan :facepalm:

ab rehi kya gya hai? future ? all away series(most important series) are done..
 
Ajmal needs to get Amla... then chokers will choke. kallis and de villiers birthday gift will come. expect chaos, run outs and all sorts of gifts. just need amla early to open the door for us.

I have to believe that somewhere in Pakistan, we have better options. I just cannot believe these 3 clowns are in our top options. Gul needs to be sent the way of Sami.

Junaid should be #1 option, we need to find either an Ehsan Adil or Anwar Ali as #2, and Irfan as #3 option.

Or Aamir needs to change his legal name, get some surgery, and come back.
 
The fact that Tanvir hasn't even bowled yet shows that Misbah realizes how big of a mistake he's made and he's realized that Tanvir is anything but lethal. Quite the opposite. Good on him, I guess

Mediocrity leads to mediocrity. A Mediocre so called experienced bowler, A mediocre so called bowling coach, a mediocre tanvir ahmed. Why blame Irfan? He is a new guy and who is there to guide him? Mediocrity?

But But he is our most experienced bowler, who will teach and guide the youngsters on the field how to bowl, what to bowl standing at mid off, mid on? Should we make the same mistakes we made with the W's in 2003?
 
Irfan never got a fair shake... he should have played in jo'burg. now tanvir has only really bowled a few overs even though he got a valuable 44. our selection policy has been poor and to give tanvir express the new ball in 1st innings ahead of irfan was criminal

Dont get me wrong. Tanvir should be gone too. But Irfan is just not good enough. Average bowler, cant bat or field basically.

If Junaid is healthy, i cut all 3 of these clowns, and play Junaid - Ehsan (who is 19!) and Rahat who can bowl consistently 140kph.

All 3 of them are under 25 too!
 
What away movement, Kallis fends it away awkwardly. Shades of McGrath.
