Pakistan take an unassailable 2-0 lead with a comfortable 16 run victory

LOL :))) I remember before going out for lunch that when we got 160, some people were crying that we're short! I told you guys anything above 150 and it's our game!
 
Windies are a country mile behind the asking rate. Gonna take a huge turnaround.

Makes the whining and crying on here after our innings look rather unwarranted.

See the problem is here we have a 2 different kind of posters:

Group 1: Claiming Sarfraz batted poorly and Umar would have got us to a bigger score - I'm sorry but there is nothing to suggest that UA would have done better than 46 in 32 balls - however, there is plenty of evidence to suggest that he would have done poorly

Group 2: People suggesting that at 85/3 we had a good base and we should have sent an 'explosive batsman' - Again, I'm sorry but 85/3 in the 12th over isn't a time to send an 'explosive batsman' or a pinch hitter IMO

See now if someone was to say what you are saying - I could get on board with that. What you are saying is that Umar Akmal should be given a run up the batting order which is fair enough. However, in doing so to criticise the way Malik and Sarfraz batted on this pitch or to say that at 85/3 you should send in a pinch hitter is just absurd in my opinion.

I think Malik and Sarfraz batted as well as they could have in the confines of their ability and as you mention got to factor in the nature of pitch. I'd have liked 10 more runs but before the start of the game 160 was the bare minimum for me and they got that.

But in general I think UA should be used at the top, has a great record playing at the top in domestic cricket and has generally been a decent T20 player for us. As far as how Umar would have done had he batted at no.3 or no.4, he has been in decent form recently so based on that he may have scored a 50 or got out for a low score but either way I just want us to give him a long run in a position we'd be able to get the best out of him.
 
With Nawaz and Imad clicking, third fast bowler in the team looks useless, should have selected a fast bowling all rounder, Hammad or Yamin.

Yea man I think given the pitch and conditions, Malik & Sarfraz batted exactly as was required. Run hard, pick up singles and doubles and put the poor deliveries away. Ending up with SR's of 12 and 142 on this pitch without any brash shots.

I was thinking 150 was a minimum so I felt like we got 10 runs over that. Between the two of our predictions (me 150, you 170) our boys went exactly bank smack in the middle :inzi haha

Yea I agree with that. I would like to see him have a run up the batting order at number 3 or 4, but not as a pinch hitter at number 3 or 4 :P
 
If we win this, that's 4 LOI wins on the trot. When was the last time that happened ?

An encouraging turnaround in white ball cricket.

Sarfraz what a captain!!! Aggressive and daring!! Makes hell of a difference in the team's mindset!
 
As inconsistent as Wahab is, when he bowls like this, there is NO better fast bowler in the world to watch

That no-ball and missed wide weren't great calls IMO - but a great over in the end!
 
There is nothing better than watching a fast bowler bowling with pure aggression and pace like Wahab can at times.

He challenged Wahab after his first over. Significantly better over from Wahab to follow.

I think we fans seriously underestimate the effect a captain can have on the team
