In their minds, they wanted to humiliate Pak in the final bowling them out assuming Pak would implode due to the pressure.

Well...the hunter became hunted :D

They are full of hubris.

Their Test decline have already started. I expect them to decline in ODI and T20 also once Hardik, Bumrah, Kuldeep etc. retire.

India declining in cricket is good for cricket world. :inti

I doubt that will be the case. The game is now so scewed in favour of the big three that even a decline for them will mean they will remain better than many others. The game has literally been devastated by these three countries. The windies are finished as a cricket nation. Sri Lanka are not able to produce another golden gen. South africa will go through peaks and troughs like new Zealand. And we are mired in internal disorganisation corruption and incompetence. India still has a system and it will keep churning out players.

The world game at this moment in time is the equivalent of where rugby league is. Three good sides..rest rubbish.

Just look what's happening to India in Test.

The truth is upcoming Indian youngsters aren't as good as previous generations of Indian players.

Most of India's recent wins happened due to old veterans (Siraj, Kuldeep, Rohit, Kohli, Hardik, Bumrah etc.). Once all of them retire, India is likely to become a mid-tier team.

But thats my point. Even at mid tier they will be better than us and many others. They will find a small tight group from their system and run with that group till they get some gems. We won't be able to.

Indian bowling is weak. Deepesh is the only one who bowls bouncers. But by the time he came on he was already well set. That missed opportunity because of sun cost them big. Anyway this unit looks the weakest pace unit in years for India. That left arm pacer looks like a 120 kph bowler.
Even so they should have tried to bowl a bouncer as things were not working anyways.

The argument is a about the system. Despite the fact that WE hate Sanghi mentality, we must agree that Pakistan lacks structural base - everything is chaotic and runs on adhoc. This will suffocate growth even if there is an opportunity.

Transition takes a bit of time.India will be good. INdia went through similar phase right after Dravid/Tendulkar/Laxman exit. Then they recovered. For the record India lost lot of Asia cups at u19 level even before. Nothing changed. This is not a barometer of anything if you ask me. Bangladesh despite winning 2020 world cup what did they achieve anything? They can't even win Asia cup at senior level where there are only 3 major teams that challenge them. They won back to back u19 asia cup lol What did they do? Nothing.

Maybe it is the fruit of Indian hubris? :inti

Always a pleasant sight when Indians are humbled.

Exactly. There is no vision. Ill give you youngsters an example. In the 70's the windiest got smashed in Australia by Lillie and Thompson. Just destroyed. Clive lloyd decided he needed to fight fire with fire and they decided that instead of having just two fast bowlers they would build a side with 5 or more. They had a vision. Their system my not have been the best but at least they had a plan. What's ours? Make spin pitches for now while Noman bhai is still playing. Then next year change again. Then a month later a new vision..

Congrats to Pak teens. Massive victory. Sameer Minhas dominated the clueless Indian bowlers and fielders.

A very poor day for Indian batting too. The entire team looked overwhelmed right from the beginning. The dropped catches hurt them real bad.

Sameer Minhas leads Pakistan U19 to ACC Men's U19 Asia Cup glory

A dominant all-round performance, led by a century from Sameer Minhas and a four-wicket haul by Ali Raza, guided Pakistan U19 to a thumping 191-run win over India U19 in the final of the ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup at the ICC Cricket Academy Ground in Dubai on Sunday. This marked Pakistan’s first outright ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup title, having previously been declared joint winners in the 2012 edition.

After being put in to bat, Pakistan posted an imposing 347 for eight in their allotted 50 overs. Sameer Minhas anchored the innings with a magnificent 172 off 113 balls, striking 17 fours and nine sixes. He laid a solid foundation before accelerating through the middle overs, including vital partnerships with Usman Khan (35, 45b, 3x4s, 1x6) and Ahmed Hussain (56, 45b, 3x4s, 1x6) to put Pakistan firmly in command.

Left-handed batter Ahmed’s fluent half-century provided further momentum, while skipper Farhan Yousaf (19, 18b, 2x4s, 1x6) and late contributions from Niqab Shafiq (12 not out, 17b, 1x4) and Mohammad Sayyam (13 not out, 8b, 1x6) ensured Pakistan finished strongly.

In turn, Pakistan’s bowlers produced a disciplined and clinical display to dismiss India for 156 in 26.2 overs. Right-arm fast bowler Ali spearheaded the attack with four wickets, striking early to derail India’s chase. Mohammad Sayyam and Abdul Subhan claimed two wickets apiece, while spinner Huzaifa Ahsan also struck twice as Pakistan maintained pressure throughout the innings.

Sameer Minhas was adjudged player of the match for his match-winning century and was also named player of the tournament after amassing 471 runs from five matches at an average of 157.

Pakistan U19 will now travel to Zimbabwe to feature in a tri-series involving Afghanistan and hosts Zimbabwe, starting from Thursday, 25 December. The ICC Men’s U19 World Cup will be played in Zimbabwe and Namibia from 15 January to 6 February 2026.

Scores in brief:

Pakistan beat India by 191 runs at the ICC Academy Ground, Dubai

Pakistan 347-8, 50 overs (Sameer Minhas 172, Ahmed Hussain 56, Usman Khan 35; Deepesh Devendran 3-83)

India 156 all out, 26.2 overs (Deepesh Devendran 36, Vaibhav Suryavanshi 26; Ali Raza 4-42, Huzaifa Ahsan 2-12, Abdul Subhan 2-29, Mohammad Sayyam 2-38)

Player of the match and tournament – Sameer Minhas (Pakistan)

You mean they will hurt your team for another 3 yrs? :mv

Congratulations to Pakistan fans on this thumping win over our boys. It’s a great sign for Pakistan cricket showing that there is a lot of good young talent in Pakistan cricket. This will is much needed for you. Well done and wishing the young boys well for a great future.

Tough luck India boys. But this is a good lesson learnt at young age. You’re never too big.

Congratulations to Pakistan fans! This was a shellacking!! Your opener is top class and has tremendous potential to succeed in international cricket, although the rest of the batters seem to need a little more exposure and experience.
U19s are a window into the future and it looks like you will continue to do well.

Is Sameer Minhas hindu?
No.

We all used to be people from one country not too long ago, obviously names and castes have remained the same but not the faith or religions in many cases. Lots of Rajputs here. Also lots of Sidhus (our great air chief is one too) and many other castes.

It is normal.

Sad and petty but exactly as i predicted, on the one off occasions when the Pakistani team beats India on a big stage, the Indian players unable to digest the defeat will retort to mocking their fellow Pakistani counterparts by referring to their IPL earnings. This is exactly what that bacha Suryavanshi did.

In my cricket viewing experience, the U19 players who start off with a bang and fan fare do not succeed in international cricket in the long run case in point Anwar Ali, Unmukt Chand whereas players who are badly under developed or do not impress in U19 cricket end up becoming much better players than expected and shine in international cricket in the long run.

Where were the Indian team when the trophy was being presented to Pakistan? Were they there or did they disappear into the changing room?

Taking it to next level is in the hands of players themselves. Manjot Kalra, Prithvi shaw were terrific in 2018 world cu p. Manjot made 100 in world cup final. Abhishek was a lower order spin bowling all rounder. He had good technique. So he played as an anchor for SRH under Lara/moody coaching. Then Abhishek, Gill, Prabhsimran and one more guy went to yuvraj for training. They rented a room during this phase. Yuvraj put them through drill. Gill was already a great talent. But his six hitting skill improved after that (which he lost now). But Abhishek in one stint became a six hitting monster. Gill's father giving hm throw down of 1000 balls. Cricket board cannot handhold and each every potential. It is too much for them to do.

Its all about talent, brain cells and opportunity. Without talent, you have no chance, without Brian cells the player wont develop his game and the player needs opportunity to showcase their talent.
Guys that do well for PK think they have made it, dont see it as a launching pad , and dont work hard enough.

Nobody cares about being congratulated by the Indians. Pakistanis should stop obsessing with validation by Indians and move on.
No one cares but the main thing is the kind of precedent that has been set.

Teenagers playing with such animosity is a terrible spectacle

No one knows what he did. A few audioless visuals don’t confirm anything.

India has turned rivalry so ugly and nasty. Previously, the games were always played in the right spirit regardless of the relations between the countries - now it’s just a sea of insults and ott celebrations.

Poor stuff

PCB announces big reward for Pakistan Under-19 Cricket team

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has announced a major reward for the Pakistan Under-19 cricket team following their ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup 2025 title victory, ARY News reported, citing sources.

Sources stated that the PCB Chairman has announced a whopping cash prize of Rs 5 million for every member of the winning squad. Naqvi met with the players in Dubai shortly after their victory to announce the reward.

While addressing the team, the PCB Chairman said, “You all are warriors, and you have made the nation proud.”

During a conversation with the “Player of the Match, Sameer Minhas, who scored a historic 172 runs off 113 balls, Naqvi said: “You are our pride, and you played an exceptional game today.”

Sources further revealed that the Chairman made a personal commitment to the young star, announcing that the PCB will bear all of his expenses for the next two years.

Any news on the injured player?

Also really pathetic of ACC, instead of giving these players a 1 day rest to enjoy the trophy they made a return flight to Islamabad just a few mins ago

Its not about pakistanis.

Its about setting a precedent. U19 cricket is where discipline is emphasized. Any dissent shown to anyone in youth cricket is dealt with harsher penalties compared to international cricket. This is to set a discipline for young cricketers.

By letting the indian u19 side get involved in such antics, this is gonna be more problematic in future

India U19s were bowled out in 26.2 overs, in the 158th ball of the inns, as a tribute to India's 158 all-out in the CT17 final, also 152 balls were remaining, as a tribute to Pakistan's 152/0 against India. And India's last man scored 36, as a tribute to India 36 all-out.😂

Poor stuff
BJP/RSS leaders and right wing media spit venom and lies about Pakistan 24/7.This has swayed public opinion too.Previously India-Pakistan matches were charged but after their was no hatred.Players used to get on with each other.

Pakistan seems to be producing some serious talents lately in batting. Shahzaib Khan, Shamyl Hussain, Maaz Sadaqat and now Sameer Minhas. All of them have insane ability to play modern game. The only question is can PCB have a plan to build their career or they will be lost like hundreds in past.

As I told you before Deepesh can only bully avg to mid quality U19 batters on a fast pitch with his two paced bouncers , any good quality batter even at U19 level will feast his 125-135k bouncers.

The Kishan guy is definitely talented as he’s got pace and movement and he can really bowl well on a fast bouncy pitch but too bad he is very short in height.

The Henil guy is definitely the least talented and will not get in to even a FC team.

The Deepesh guy can’t move the ball even an inch and is not tall either nor got any pace, how on earth hes got in to U19 side and got so much success is a mystery in itself.

He came in as a replacement for another bowler ended up being the best bowler in Australia and also in the first match where the pitch had something for him he did well. This one was a dead pitch. I still think he will grow into a better bowler once he adds pace. It is hard to bowl bouncer after bouncer. He did that on hard bouncy wickets in Australia and got rewarded.

Grand welcome for the Pakistan Under-19 team at Islamabad International Airport.

The players and support staff were welcomed by PCB Chief Operating Officer Sumair Ahmad Syed, Director High Performance Aaqib Javed, and other PCB officials.

You need math classes bro

Congrats on the win.

Who is the injured player?
I think it was the wicket keeper muhammad shayan. Ball hit his face and he went down and was un responsive which is why they rushed him to the hospital.

Later after the ceremony, naqvi himself personally rushed to the hospital to check on the kid.

He seems to be alright.

142 balls were remaining but I'm not surprised @daytrader liked this post given his level and standing on this forum.

So Raju, how many El Clasico matches have taken place since you confidently claimed there would be no India vs Pakistan match in the near future, 'not a chance in 2025' after the WCL match was boycotted by the Indian team? Can you give the combined total, including men's, women's, U-19, or any other India vs Pakistan cricket matches? I am confused between 7 or 8. :yk :inti @Rajdeep @The Bald Eagle
Don't worry, Raju bangeya gentleman now

What discipline are you talking about? India and Pakistan are mortal enemies. The ICC recognizes this fact. Pakistan’s and India playing cricket aren’t to promote sportsmanship or use cricket as a bridge. It’s a purely financial endeavor.

I have never seen a group as obsessed with being given handshake as Pakistanis. In my view, truly despicable and low life culture regardless of the excuses being churned out by Pakistanis. It’s the most cringe worthy stuff I have ever seen. Truly.

Terrible for who? Whose life is going to be ruined because they didn’t get a handshake from an Indian? Get serious!

Third class attitude of the sanghi nation and their senior team, copied over to Juniors so no surprises.

Good thrashing delivering humble pies. You know exactly how Sanghis would have reacted had they won lol
Absolutely. They created this atmosphere and when our guys replied in kind, they kacked it.

U19 cricket is not a financial endeavor. U19 cricket are a development ctickrt structure

It seems like you have comprehension issues which is why you couldnt the post i wrote.

In youth cricket discipline is emphasized more than in international cricket as these youth cricketers are taught the importance of sportsmanship and carrying yourself with dignity.

If you think handshakes is lowlife culture, than maybe watch more sports to understand the context of handshakes.

Handshakes is an indication of how the fight is kept only on the ground between players. Its a tradition that has spread across other sports where after the battle is done you shake hands as a camadrie.

Terrible for who? Whose life is going to be ruined because they didn’t get a handshake from an Indian? Get serious!
Nobody’s life is getting ruined and cricket is not that much important ..

Most people watch cricket as a form of entertainment. It’s a terrible spectacle from that stand point
