Pakistan's bowlers got them into a commanding position on Day 3.

With a 189 run lead, all 10 wickets in hand and two days to go, Pakistan are clearly in a strong position to push through for a win in the remaining two days.

Will Pakistan take advantage of their position and take a big lead to push for a glorious win? Or will batting collapses from the recent past come back and haunt them?

Pakistan should aim for 400 run lead and declare in the hour before tea.

Easy win from there

I don't think Pakistan will win easily but they can pull it off with timing the declaration right and playing at a consistent pace.

If they play at 1-2 rpo even in this situation they can kiss the game goodbye.

Australia don't have the mindset required to bat out 100+ overs when we're 400 runs behind.

We saw how bad Australia are against a big total yesterday

We have to get 400 first. Plus, Australia gifted us some wickets 1st innings.

Score at 2-3 for the first 15 overs, then accelerate. Send Sarfaraz up at 4

Oh good I look forward to fifteen pages of people sooking about the run rate.

We won't be able to bat a day on this pitch.

All I know is to win you need to be aggressive and when you are 200 in front, no need to be a ...

Why risk 1 day for Australia when you can give them an extra session by aggressive play and quick declaration at tea time?

a target of 380-400 in 125 overs for aus should be the goal for pak. which means they have to bat for 50 odd overs at 4 rpo, just by treating the equation as an odi match, they can achieve it, if they lose wickets so be it, the aussies are on the mat, no safety first approach is required.

To be honest even if we set 320 for the final day, it would be enough, unless Australia come out with something spectacular.

The should aim to have a lead of 450-500 by tea.

This would rule out any chances of an Australia win. It would put the Australians in a 'draw' state of mind, and I don't think Australia can last 4 sessions on a day 4/5 pitch with us attacking.

They are most vulnerable against spin whilst defending, which is why putting them into a defensive mindset will work well for us.

Pakistan cricket just like it's fans lacks self belief.
Yes, we can do it.
Come on boys.
Let's do away with tests and then lift the world Cup.

Aussies will come hard

Very important first session we don't want to be 70/5 and giving them a sniff be careful get to 100 for loss of 1/2 and then play aggressive. Pakistan zindabd!

A lot of MJ's bouncers have been pretty poorly directed in this match.

Pakistani partnership in com box as well.

Pakistan effectively 200/0. Not often you see that lols

Azhar Ali needs to adapt to the situation , he just plays in the same manner every time.

He has actually adabpted to the situation by using his feets and sweeping the spinners. Did not do these things earlier.

4 from Shehzad.

When you have two quality guys opening the innings you will have a good opening stand.

When you have guys like Farhat, Manzoor & Hafeez u will get poor starts.

What? Yasir Shah wanted a lead of 450?

Love the way this is going.

Hopefully we will now see Azhar open in next game and Haris come in for Hafeez?

That was dropped but very difficult to hold.

He's been pretty ordinary in this tour IMO

Been easily the best of a bad lot so far. But this is as far from helpful conditions as it gets for a bowler like him.

Siddle has been rubbish, Lyon a bit unlucky, the others are on debut and have been no good - although Marsh better than OKeefe.
