he looked good in the first half of the test.

Who is he coming in for though? Watson or a pure batsman?

Watson, so you have to judge him as a debutant all rounder. He showed potential with both bat and ball in this game, something for the future.

What is the record for maximum number of balls without boundary? Must be around 400

It's also the first time he's batted in Asia.

They'll only cull one batsman for this loss and it will be Doolan.

Starc will play next test. Sure he might be lose but he'll get wickets anyway

No mystery spin this time. Just orthodox left arm spin and legspin. Damn Australia really are bad at playing spin. Rogers in particular has very poor technique against spin. The rest were mentally shot. Losing wickets to arm balls while playing for imaginary square turners.

What do you call the ball that took the wicket of Haddin? Wasn't a simple arm ball was it? :13: that came in like an off spinner.

I call it Haddin being old and past it

I don't think Babar bowls a doosra/carrom ball. An arm ball that drifts in can be equally deceptive though and Babar does get good drift. Also came in a tad quicker off the pitch.

Any decent subcontinent spinner can do well against Australia in these conditions. Baba is inferior to Herath, Ashwin, Jadeja and Shakib and a liability in the field as well.

I don't see Baba doing well against SL, SA etc. teams that play spin well.

Baba has the knack of bowling pies at times but Australia aren't good enough to cash in.

Haddin plays spin like he plays fast bowling. Theres no movement of his feet. The gap between bat pad is huge.

Even Ajmal and Rehman didn't do any thing extra ordinary against SA. SA also gave a good fight to Indians in India.
And won a test series in SL.
So what has Ashwin, Ajmal, herath, shakib done against top spin playing nations?

lols shut up Rameez. Giving the aussies a lecture on mental strength is just stupid.

you would have saved your time if you have read post #252 & post #253

Ajmal is a chucker so he doesn't count anymore.

Herath is comfortably the best spinner in the world today and the likes of Ashwin are deadly on subcontinental wickets, particularly Ashwin. Shakib is very underrated as a bowler because he plays for Bangladesh and not many top teams tour them.

Baba is good, but not a front-line spinner in my opinion. I think he's more of a supporting cast like Jadeja but has less variety and a little one dimensional at times. Miles better than Rehman though and we should have paired him with Ajmal long ago rather than investing so much in a mediocre spinner Rehman.

Okay i am here and m finally believing we are winning....

We lack pacers with skill. A spin dependent attack isn't a good advertisement for Pakistan cricket.

Guys Ramiz doing the same thing as the Australian commentators say about us when we are in Australia with Australia it's all mind games

Need to test Smith here. He looks pretty comfortable out there.

Bring in Hafeez and Yasir Shah. One to take ball away, another to dart it in.

What about Sam Whiteman? Reckon Haddin will retire from Tests after the home series against India?

At the moment Nevill is a better player than Whiteman but Whiteman is 22 and will overtake him in 1-2 years.

Both would be better in the tests than Haddin.

Not sure about the ODIs. Nevill would be better there.

Whiteman's too classical to push up the runrate so has to resort to slogs

Smith's promotion to three should come next test. Bats there for NSW and we want as much of Warner and Smith together as we can

Convict you should send Watson an SOS, Marsh doesn't look Test quality.

That last one :)))

Rameez is right in saying Sir Faraz is not a good keeper. He is just a little better than Akmal.

What an ignorant comment from Ramiz Raja. Stupid really, well not really a surprise!

So Ramiz is calling Sarfaraz a poor keeper based on one stumping and going about how perfect Adnan was. I guess Ramiz's bias made him forget how Adnan did vs south Africa a little while back.

Adnan is better WK than Sarfraz who is an ordinary keeper no doubt. Rameez stating the obvious there but criticism against Sarfraz isn't bearable on Pakpassion these days.

We are looking just a little flat out there. Seem to be running out of ideas.
