Good stuff. There is no hurry. Need to play out the crucial time till lunch. Runs will come with time - wickets are KEY

Pakistan | 1/11 | 6.1 Overs | Trail by 242 runs

First wicket for Ben Hilfenhaus and Australia.

to be honest it's not like it was unexpected lol
I wasn't expecting it either. I was expecting a nice opening partnership.

Unlucky, that was an excellent delivery.

Better luck next innings to these two.

As I said yesterday - its a sad indictment on the quality of our cricket when we consider Farhat to be one of the best batsman that Pakistan has to offer!

Aap ne nazar laga di :(

I think one mystery for Sherlock homes can be finding out how farhat keeps getting back in the team .... again and again and again and again.

this man is less useful than a half torn shoe box cover

Umar Amin, Azhar Ali and Umar Akmal next batsmen. This is going to be great or completely this opposite.

Poor shot from Farhat. No surprise really! Never moves his feet!

Azhar Ali will have to battle here!

The answer , my friend, is 42

This should be interesting now...

Let's see what the 'future of Pakistan cricket' has to offer

Indeed.

If Imran Farhat is one of the five best batsmen in Pakistan, then I'm a Dutchman.

do you know how many excellent deliveries the australians survived off pakistan. this is test cricket players need to survive excellent deliveries rather than get out to them. otherwise that can stick to T20 cricket!

Bismillah for Azhar Ali...

and a hearty Mubarak to him for his first run in Test Cricket - Jeetay Raho Beta!

Azhar gets his 1st test run. Big INNS need from Butt here!

What wrong with being a Dutchman, unless ofcourse you mean from the Pirate of the Caribbean?

Pakistan | 1/16 | 7 Overs | Trail by 237 runs

Another four for Butt.

Butt needs to guide the debutant and try to farm the strike so that Azhar has a chance to settle in.

Pace hovering around the 90mph mark, not as much swing as yesterday that say Aamer got.

That;s a fair point.

But people have to realize that these two have been the most successful opening pair in recent times and did decently well in NZ/Aus so why change that?

What Australia did very well was farm the strike, by taking regular singles, also since it is a rh and lh combination it will upset the bowlers.

Time to Drop Anchor here and fight and stick in while balls still swinging!
