Malik for all his crapness does have a mid 30s average, meaning theres a decent chance of him getting a 50, and a 50 from both batsmen now would push the score past 150, leaving us in a decent position.

Nervousness is expected, young player making his debut against Australia and at Lords too!! I though he showed a decent technique..The true test is the covering driving which we did not see today but that was expected...

Unfortunately he played at the type of delivery he was leaving very well upto that point...

Butt still looks in the form of his life and he simply must make it count if Pakistan are to rack up a good score!

The little I saw of Azhar I saw him unable to put away even a bad delivery from Hilf (first one of his last over, for example). You don't train your youngsters on the pitch against Aussies.

when will these batsman learn ? you need to put away every bad ball which come at you ..especially agaisnt aussies
