Malik is going to score the fastest double hundred today against the bowling attack of Steyn/Anderson/Johnson. Note kerke rakh lo sab bache :yk #hatergonnahatemalikgonnasmash

Whoever said Malik averages 70ish at 5.

This guy has played 2 innings at 5, for a total of 64 runs. One innings was not out. Malik averaging 64 means nothing. It would be ridiculous to shuffle our middle order for the likes of him.

It's 35 degrees there right now and 1 degree here. Quite the difference

Its obvious. You don't change an already established order to accomodare a newcomer. The newcomer has to accomodate himself in the side.

Only in Pakistan they'll send a middle order player a 3 or as an opener when you have two top order specialists in Younus Khan and Asad Shafiq. This would have been a great opportunity for Asad to show that he is ready to take YK's position once the older lads have retired.

it's test cricket. Asad will get a turn to bat and show what he can do

First 10 overs done and dusted another 5 or so and we will see spinners. Both these can hammer the spinners.

Wood should be the only bowler that poses a threat in the next 30 overs. He will only bowl 4 of these

Hmmm. It's going to be a very painful 2016 for some of these batsmen.

Wood is better than any of our pacers, and he is England's 4th best pacer in truth.

Broad > Anderson > Finn > Wood

Sums up the state of our fast bowling at the moment.

good to see the speedometer after not having it for the Zimbabwe series

Decent bat would have no issues whatsoever with that ball. I think he just wasn't expecting it, which is poor in itself.

Hafeez may be a nervous wreck at first, but if he digs in, he's a pleasure to watch in full flow on UAE tracks.

I reckon even stokes is better than most of our pacers atm

Maybe Asad is not comfortable there. Malik also prefers in the top 3.

Your initial statement was Misbah should play no.3 or 4 or YK.

YK has been doing a splendid job at no.4 so no need to change.

Drinks.

I think Nasser Hussain isn't in the commentary panel but in the studio back in UK. That sucks :/

As pointed out, when you know that you are a minnow basher, it takes time to get going against better opposition no matter the conditions

He has been there for almost 40 deliveries and now batting against their second string bowlers. He should know by now that there isn't much to be scared about.

Anyway, the positive here is that both of them are still at the crease.

In what world? In the UAE, Riaz is as good as Anderson and Broad while Imran trumps Wood.

PCB really need to give some thought to moving their hosting to Bangladesh. This is a terrible advertisement for test cricket.

Good signs for us. Rashid is spinning it but his deliveries can be cashed on pretty easily.

Oh Bazid in commentary with Athers.
The awkward moment when the commentary team is more interesting than the batsmen playing.

Bazid "So boring I forget his last name".

Maybe it's just because I've been listening to Saqlain and Miandad on the pre-match show, but Bazid seems to have improved. He's not sounding nearly as boring as he normally does.
