Well, I think Pak has almost lost this match. On day one I thought this match 'll depend on how the Pak fielders hold on to the catches. Bowlers made the chances (ironically on sweep) & fielders blew it. The problem of dropping players like Prior is that they keep scoring quickly, regardless of the wicket. I think Eng 'll take a sizable lead now.

Still trying to figure out what MHK has added to this team - well set players are throwing wickets after scoring 20s & 30s, fielders are dropping dollies, batsmen are getting run-outs with bat on wrong hand or both players at one end, Captain & keeper is wasting UDRS within the first session of fielding & tailenders are coming & going like baseball batters.

Well that drop didn't cost us much. Prior is out.

Pakistan lost the opportunity to really seize the game after losing their last three wickets for just one run. An extra 50 runs here would have made all the difference. Broad is an all-rounder and can bat and Bell has the temperament to play a big innings. If these two eke out a 60-70 run partnership then England could be leading by 50 odd runs at the end of their innings.

This lead could prove the difference as I doubt if Pakistan can go past 250 in their second innings given the nature of this pitch and given the mental frailties that afflict their batsmen. Apart from Misbah and Younis Khan I can't see who else has the discipline and bottle for a fight. And Misbah has to fail sometime, right?

This is going to be a fascinating Test match, cricket at in all its glory but I do feel England have a slight edge as of now.

As a Pakistan cricket fan I hope Pakistan come back hard now.
