I think it is not Bell, it will be Broad and Swann who will hurt Pakistan more. These runs will hurt Pakistan.
 
Broad counter-attacking, Pakistan back to their old ways once the pressure is on. Just shows how utterly valuable Misbah's calmness is to Pakistan.
 
the fact i hate is broad getting big runs against us at crucial times, every time
 
Man, Broad is playing sensible cricket. Pakistan's tail should be looking at how Broad is playing.

is anyone else just horridly infuriated by gul? does he know how to bowl in test cricket? does he know how to swing a cricket ball?
 
Great batting broad!

We need them out asap as minimum lead we will require is 250 I think.

Gul is bowling terrible, in some trouble now with Swann to come england could get 100 + lead and put us in big trouble here.

k, when england bowl watch anderson/broad both get swing and seam movement. our seamers are just awful.

He is the same guy who got wickets in the last test match or you forgot??? :)
 
And in other news India fighting for their lives in Adelaide. If they can save the match it will be a victory.
 
Junaid is a big disappointment in this match. He better redeam himself by bowling well now.

he is not a good test bowler AT ALL, he's living on his limited overs reputation
 
If Pakistan's batsmen had scored few extra runs, it would have been different now.

did you watch the last match? he bowled awful and his wickets were gifted. he beat the bat less than 5 times last match
 
Can someone tell me why on the earth Junaid was included in this match??? Tuk tuk could have added another batsman instead.

He's not good. Its very obvious why he averages 33.31. He's relatively average everywhere. Great limited overs bowler, probably along with Malinga for best in T20s.

Doesn't have the aptitude for Test matches. Anderson and Broad have easily looked tighter, and Broad much more threatening.

4.09, that's his economy. Broad and Anderson had 2.33 and 1.95. And they got the majority of the wickets on a spinning track for England.

Khan over Gul. Khan was so much more threatening in his first spell.

No offense to u, but it should be 'too' not 'to' and secondly, every cricketer goes through form issues every now and then. Perhaps he needs a little break from cricket. He did get 4 important wickets just in the last game.

Then who else you are going to include who has experience? I dont think Pakistan has many choices at the moment.
 
by default Pakistan have accepted that if Gul didn't do anything neither would junaid or may be or may be Junaid will replace gull from the other end.

Good post, I concur.

Gul is a good bowler but that's in limited overs cricket. Pakistan are lacking decent Test fast bowlers. This should be cause for concern to Pakistan.
 
Why JK is not bowling with a new ball???? And Misbah gave it to Hafeez???? Am I missing something here????

Dartbhajan has a lot of experience. Doesn't mean you pick him. You don't choose an average bowler because he has the incumbency. That's the same mindset that kept us with Harmison past his prime. Cheema and Khan would be my picks.
 
Average partnership chart. England is at the top and Pakistan is at the bottom. BTW, it is for wickets between 6 to 10

Broad aggression was two sides of coin it can favor any one pak and england

and it comes down in favor of england

We are talking about Pakistan here not India. Well Khan is playing in this match and has bowled only 6 overs.
 
Broad is NOT a tailender. He is a genuine batsmen. Pakistan should have prepared accordingly.
