Pakistan need a super human effort

Lol, with anwar ali bowling as a specialist, do u really expect us to win?

thye dont have any match winning bowlers.

pak players should be ashamed of themselves the way they batted today, it was damn right comical..

The pitch was perfect to bat. Only for our batsmen to spoil the fun

Difficult task to win this one..strange things happen in cricket so wait and see...I feel England will win comfortably with 6 overs to spare and 5 wickets to go.

I think it's safe to say that Bangladesh are the best Asian ODI side today. Some will say India, but I doubt that Indian batting line-up can take on 4 fast bowlers - Mustafizur, Taskin, Mashrafe and Rubel along with Shakib at once. Sorry.

Problems of late:

1. Azhar Ali is teetering between poor string of matches, and the start of his comeback simply being a purple patch and him being a slow ODI opener, not too dissimilar from Shehzad
2. Shoaib Malik is also slowly creeping back to his old form, I really hope it's not the case, but England is no longer Zimbabwe and him putting bat on ball is looking difficult, and after the test series his confidence, again as it was at the start of his first decline, shot
3. We cannot figure out where exactly Sarfraz belongs, he is a spin buster, so obviously opening will be issues for him in the long run, so a mid 4-5-6 is probably the spot, but to be safe 5-6 is probably ideal
4. Patience is needed with Babar at the top, and if he fails, then move him, but he needs a few series at the opener spot, UNLESS he states he would prefer not to play there
5. Rizwan, is talented, I am a fan, but he really needs to work on his spin batting, unfortunately we tend to have players good at one but not the other, and he seems to fall suit
6. Ifitikhar Ahmed, as most predicted, is not ready for this level and we should have brought in someone young or experienced, he is neither
7. The Irfan experiment is over, he is a decent bowler, but what he lacks in batting and fielding is so bad, that you are better off going with a worse bowler as when looks holistically at runs added with the bat and saved in the field, there are better prospects

Some win against 2nd strings teams and BD is the best. Sakib the sober, Tamim Gilchrist, Mustafiz Akram can only win a series in home not in overseas. Had Zimbabwe play with brain they should have won the ODI series.

Anwar bowling Mid 130s. If he can bowl this pace then why does he sometimes revert to his 120 kph long hops

Here's Sannan Malik with a hashtag: "Pakistan is gonna win the match by big margin minimum 30 runs and Zafar will take 4 or 5 wickets #prediction"

Yes. Rohit, Dhoni, Kohli, Ashwin, De Kock, Duminy, Amla etc. are all second string players :)) Bangladesh can't force teams to play away. Please ask them then we'll be happy to.

I appreciate Anwar Ali's comminttment and effort, but I don't see how he can trouble any batsman with his bowling.

Unless we bowl england out this will be an easy win for them.

He's funny. I have been reading here a long time, and I recall when Bangladesh was deplorable, he said he no longer associates himself with them, then as they improved he is all "I always supported Bangladesh".

Fickle fans I tell you.

Yep no doubt and he seems to get a kick out of posting on here lol.

Anwar cannot be relied as a batsman nor as a bowler

I don't see why we haven't given Hammad a consistent chance.

No he is not some star in the making, but he is a solid cricketer who can offer more than Ali.

Hammad is the type of player who in the match will provide in either batting or bowling most of the time. Bad match batting, he usually picks up a couple wickets, low score, then he will score a fifty. He is a handy useful cricketer.

hammad with bat would be much better and reliable, given a good go.

He failed to do it against ZIM in Pakistan. On the flip side, Anwar played well and thus holding the position.

I would like to see Amir instead of these two.

Sorry he doesn't look that good and that's after that wkt

Stop whining people, doesn't matter what kind of ball it was, we had a wicket and that's what counts.

It's cricket and you get wickets on bad balls too.

I think most bowlers would be happy with a 1st wicket off a crap ball, we still need to keep chipping away with wickets, england bat all the way down so this is still a tough ask to win the game.

28/2 after 6 overs

Iftikhar should be credited for that wicket along with Root.

Sure, but I have a problem with some give the credit to Gohar, when in fact, it was poor shot.

I thought this umpire would want to stay out of the spotlight after his disgraceful decisions in the Pakistan innings, but he's still at it trying to get Irfan out of the attack.

A fiery spell by Wahab with Irfan continuing in this vein could cause Eng all sorts of problems
