Err no, this is day 3. Be prepared to be proven wrong by Misbah for the 50th time.

If Misbah got a dime every time he proved someone wrong, on a per person basis, his personal wealth would overtake Mexico's GDP by July 2013.

I already said on day 1 when England were 104-6 that Pakistan will win no doubt so I have no problem with that but with the situation Pakistan are in, they can play with a little intent, I know Misbah likes to graft the opposition BUT its safe to play a little bit aggressive, looks like he just wants to play his usual innings, all the batsman remaining can go for the kill as the match is already out of Englands grasp.

Australia v England 29/12/1928 England win by 3 wickets 332

England v Australia 16/08/2001 England win by 6 wickets 315

New Zealand v England 13/02/1997 England win by 4 wickets 307

England v Pakistan 17/08/2006 England win by 1 runs 298

England v New Zealand 23/05/2008 England won by 6 wickets. 294

Well so these stats shows anything in range of 340+ would take some doing by England. The interesting fact non of those chases were in ASIA. The big factor to look at.

Thats the main factor

Mashallah Awsome batting by PAK. lovly innings by YOUNIS KHAN. whataaa LEGEND. great to seee him with a 100. Great batting by Azar aswell. I hope Pak makes a big score here and confrims their victory. 350+ would be a great score, i want to see a 100 from Asad or Adnan. either one of them should get a 100 aswell. Hope Misbah gets a ton aswell. Good ComeBack by Our Great Spinners.

You answered your own question (in bold).

I know its day 3, we are in a commanding position and Misbah is still batting like we are 200 runs behind and not ahead by 238!

Dnt need to be cautious when we can attack a little and bat them out the game!

Its better to take the attack to the opposition and hurt them mentally and make some quick runs, Pakistan are in a position where they can play risk free and don't need to defend all the time but Misbah 12* from 54 says it all!

If you think they're going to win regardless, what does it matter?

Misbah's playing the way he is comfortable in playing. If he was to be more attacking, he wouldn't be comfortable. That means a possibility of him getting out and one can lead to many. That might just give England a sniff.

I'm sure he'll pick up the run rate in the next session. The same happened yesterday with Azhar and Younis.

LOL, Swann not looking happy at the turn and bounce.. oh yeah, need to bat last.

It matters bcoz this is the last test match, we are good for 3-0 white-wash have recovered and come back well in this match, have a healthy lead on the board, I'd like Pakistan to take advantage of this situation and attack, hurt the opposition mentally, put pressure on them, by playing defensive when its not required your giving England a chance with a glimmer of hope and a wicket or couple wickets will fall before you know it!

Misbah is out there wasting over after over when they could easily make 3 rpo ATLEAST!

I wanna see them bat England out the game with intent and not graft, I aint alone in thinking that this cautios approach is not needed in the position Pakistan are in!

Sounds an easy game, why don't you go out and bat? BOTH teams in this series have been going at around 2 runs per over in all innings, is that a coincidence? England are hating every moment Pakistan are out there, blocking or not - their body language shows that. The longer Pakistan occupy the crease, the harder batting will be for England. No need to up the RR in the first session of day 3.

I can't believe people are crying over slow run rate. We have a lead of 250 and not even 2.5 days have been played. Grinding down the opposition is part of test cricket. Once we cross 275/300, we can be more aggressive. There's not much to follow after Misbah and Shafiq anyway. Gul and company can slog to their heart's content.

just look at the way azhar ali batting against spin ... thanks to younis khan

bat righ in front of left leg

good batting mashallah :)

This.

I'm so fed up with people complaining about RR, it's a test match. And look at how low the RR has been throughout the series, another thing is were winning the bloody game, no need to change our approach ATM.

Even if Pakistan bats out time with scoring any runs, the pitch is going to help our spinners more and more and the harder it gets to score runs.

Regardless, this tuk tuk technique has been doing wonders for Pakistan and most of our players cannot play fast.

Pietersen swept for a single - Pietersen is getting bounce though.

Funny pitch started swinging out of nowhere and now starting to spin viciously

Bowling O M R W Econ
JM Anderson 24 6 44 1 1.83 (1nb)
SCJ Broad 19 7 47 1 2.47
MS Panesar 39 8 102 1 2.61
GP Swann 25.6 3 70 0 2.69
IJL Trott 2 0 14 0 7.00
KP Pietersen 1 0 2 0 2.00

WE need more centuries by English bowlers Swann is trying hard to add to the list. !!!

73 Run with lose of one wicket added in morning session considering it was new cherry. The session belonged to Pakistan, where England kept trying to keep the scoring rate checked.

Seeing the faces of some of these England players is just.. :)))

They look mortified at the wicket. Could the 72ao be beaten? :rehman

I just knew someone would be complaining about Misbah

This is death by tuk tuk for England they are going down 3-0 and the guy who is responsible for this is the captain who has rebuilt a rabble....

OMG who dressed Ramiz this morning? That tartan shirt with the blackvs suit is awfull!

Well the fact to look at, all the score chased over 340 only twice it was chased in Asia & that too by Asian Teams. Which speaks for itself. So another 100 run would mean a lot. So Pakistan can feel secure with another 100 runs added to the lead.

Was I the only one who thought Misbah would smack Pietersen for a few sixes over long on?

Pakistan grinding England into the dirt here. I think they may fold for under a 100 again here, pitch is wearing appreciably.
