Inti can't transform poor fielders
This has to be instilled at the fundamental levels of domestic cricket

the commentators were saying that before the game started, and the pakistani's were at their fielding practice all they were doing is just lobbing the ball around, something club cricket teams do.........that is definately on the coach

I am not talking about current situation, he bowled very badly earlier today, only his 1st spell was good
I think he has bowled only two bad overs in his entire 18 overs spell. he was really bending his back.

What matters is the wickets, he hasn't been able to take a single wicket, only a few play & misses, he is the most experienced bowler & leading the attack whereas Asif is just making a comeback & has bagged 3 wickets, Gul also has the worst economy rate in this match, overall he has disappointed me

there was a dropped catch aswell as lots of play and miss deserved a couple.

Come on dude.

Guptil was dropped of him. He was plain unlucky today.

Asif Vs Aamer so who is gonna take more wickets, remember the days of Waqar Vs Wasim, we see some similarities guys

That was exactly what I told my brother

I was like 2 MA's

Do anyone knows which brand balls are they using? In England I know they use Duke but this one seems really different than Duke. Is this Kooka?

should havw kept for the new ball for tommorow Amir ands Asif are tired Ajmal was controlling the runs would have keptg it quite for the evening.

Wasim & Waqar 2Ws
Asif & Aamer 2As

1 Left handed allrounder
1 Right handed bowler

& both sharing the new ball

Pace is the concerned. Wasim Akram kinda lacked pace when comparing it to Waqar but in this case it is quite opposite

Another direct hit. This time by MoYo! Referred to the Third Umpire but he's made it.

I think he has been pretty good if you look at his todays bowling performance. He has bowled most of the overs to Tayler and Guptill. He has been totally unlucky throughout the day. The only thing i don't understand where were you when Guls runrate was below 2.50?(he was the lowest. uptill 14th over i guess). But i am pretty sure he will be back with few wickets in this match if not the inning.

btw Gul bowled 18 overs out of 66 overs which is pretty tiring for a fast bowler. Don't forget he was bowling fast today as compare to the recent ODI series.

Farhat has dropped two catches, and both players have scored good runs. This guy should be kicked and punched in the dressing room

If we wrap them before 280-300 I will be pleased at the bowling effort.
Agree

Just a question as I am quite curious to know. I wanted to know that will the pitch become bowling friendly or batting friendly over the next 4 days?

all 3 fast bowlers had a dropped catch shows the struggle that a Pakistani seamer goes through.

Right guys I am off to bed and I want some good news when I wake up. My close of play prediction 256/7. Optimistic ehh?
Guys I am back after tossing and turning in bed for 2 hours and I am glade to say my prediction is still on Com,n one more before close of play.

Then you wonder why this fact is true:

The second most common dismissal combination in Test Cricket is?

lbw bowled Wasim Akram !

The first one is bowled Murali

[Heard this on TenSports in a program about Wasim Akram]

Farhat lies also, just imagine if that catch was taken NZ would have been on 229/7

This is not the first time Imran farhat done it. every single test he has played so far, he has dropped atleast 2 catches, if not more.
First day of a test series, which a cricket depleted Pakistan side gets, and he continues to go what he does best...making his father in law and PCB proud. keep it up dude..........
happy that you have not broken of your fingers as you did in england test series, of the single catch you took, after dropping three

Your prediction would have been right on the money had Farhat held on to another catch.

:))) :)))

Ajantha "No one can read me" Mendis has given 32 runs in 4 overs in a test match.

:))) :)))

Can anybody provide our bowling history where our fast bowlers had to bowl 20 or more overs in a day? It pretty tiring as far as Amir, Asif and Gul is concern. we should've included an all-rounder insted of Malik

I made my prediction after that guptill drop by Imran so it does not matter.

these two are bloody dangerous.

Merey Bhai! When Pakistan is batting every bowler is dangerous. And when Pakistan is bowling every batsman is dangerous.

And that's where the comparisons end! :younis :wasim

I know about guptill drop which cost us 50 runs and plz don't tell me he has dropped another.

He dropped Vettori when he was on Golden Duck.

Well he dropped Vettori when hadn't opened his account.

29 runs and counting ......................

Umar Gul to McCullum, FOUR, poor delivery, too much width outside off, McCullum adjusts quickly on the back foot and punches it hard past cover, deep point ran across but couldn't mop up

Umar Gul to McCullum, FOUR, Gul bowls it too full and gives the batsman the opportunity to drive through the line, gets his weight behind the ball and pushes it past mid-on

Umar Gul to McCullum, FOUR, that's a cracker of a drive, Gul errs by overpitching outside the off stump, McCullum gets his weight behind the shot and smashes it past mid-off

Same stuff repeated I don't call that good bowling
