ohhh noooooo.....akmal junior is gone now.
this situation is made for kamran akmal...gutsy under pressure

NO! Umar Akmal gone..............why o why can Pakistan never win a bilateral ODI series...against a decent team?

This is a big loss for Pakistan. Umar was the guy I was counting on to see us through. Kiwis definitely have the edge at this point.

And Umar Akmal is out now. This is becoming one tense mement for me now, don't know about you guys.

Salman Butt is in the dressing room, still wearing his pads - cricinfo

Will he sneak back in or is he missing Fawad Alam?

Followign this at work. Dont even have the heart/stomach to follow it anymore. NZ collapsed to spinners ona spin pitch. We will just collapse to anyone.

Alls on you Afrid and Akmal

The 2 guys that won us the first game are together, all is far from lost.

Thank you captan AKA I Quit, your rotation policy worked well. Why dont you join Chordari I am sure you will fit in right with the likes of Mr. Malik and company.

5 down with only razaq to come!!! i'd say 70/30 in nz's favour! it would be 90/10 had we been chasing a larger total...

Dont know wether to laugh or cry.

They don't have a plan at all. Just playing strange shots. Struggling against an average New Zealand side on subcontinental conditons. wow!

It shows that waqar younis was part of our '99 squad... I seriously don't remember him being there!

he certainly was part of it...his first game in the tourney was against bangladesh, the game we lost!!!

I think he also played the final...not 100pct certain though

Good point. Chasing a smaller total seems to be much difficult for us

Well time for Afridi to make his place as a captain now. Show YK how to play like a captain. Really pathetic performance so far.

This is terrible.... we need some steel in our batting line up

Agar cotton mil jaye to badi baat hai, steel door ki baat hai bhai.

and afridi is gone now too!!!

lol...when all was required was for us to bat out the overs!

He was in the squad , but only played in the game we lost against Bangladesh.

Our batting line up was brittle then , even with Saeed Anwar, Inzy and Ijaz. And 10 years on it's like a chocolate flake.

waqar played the game against bangla

but he did not play the final.

booom booom going back to his best....kami and razaq left to get us 120 odd runs

That was to happen. Afridi had already given one good batting performance for this series.

Razaq is pretty much a sitting duck against Vettori.

He was there just that he was benched cause of the balance of the side. Wasim was captain. Shoaib was upcoming and quickest bowler. Azhar and Razzaq both hit 85 at that time, could seam i taround cause of conditions and both could bat.

Its scary how talented that team was to keep a bowler like Waqar out of the side.

It's our brainpower lineup that is the real worry.

DASTI would be watching this match very closely... :P

Hmm... can't believe we picked Akhtar over Waqar... and that too back then! I don't remember Waqar in the final match at all bro... and the bangladesh match is the only match I missed of Pakistan's in that WC.

can't believe i wasted hours of sleep for this. ANyways time to go to bed. It was expected of us to choke.

well i wasnt certain! but thanks for clearing that up for me!

now to 2009, against nz! How can we possibly be playing such stupid shots to get out when all was needed was occupation at the crease????

Waqar Younis the legend was hinting at this.

He said that Pakistan didn't know how to play in this situation, especially Afridi.

so, knives should be out after this one... we've been lamenting our openers but guess we should have enjoyed them while they lasted

Wow, the anti-YK grouping seems to get more members with each game

He'll counter it by another isteefa. It's all typed up and ready...

funny, he keeps it in his pocket. all he needs to do is write new date.

If ever Pakistan needed Yousuf, it was in this match

Pakistan are in deep trouble now. Six wickets have fallen for 37; Razzaq comes in

Two cheetays batting now. They should have opened

so....1st Australia...then Sri Lanka and now New Zealand !!! wow! the standards are going down...what's next? Bangladesh? Zimbabwe?
