Pakistan v New Zealand | 3rd Test - Day 2 | Napier | 12/12/09

Such a great bowling for two session and its all wiped off. We should have never gotten McIntosh out. Atleast he was only scoring at an avergae 2 runs per over against Kaneria.
 
ok... 24 overs without a wicket.. this is the first time in the series that pakistan have gone without a wicket for so long... this could give a good opportunity to analyse moyo 's captaincy...

his bowlers have been on the top so far in the series...
but now.. can he infuse some energy into his boyz and refuse to give up???
or will he be a mere spectator ( or even worse a participant ) as he watches the shoulders drop and the energy disappear>????

Shoaib will bowl 5 overs and then become dead liability on the field.

Look at the strike rate of Vettori

From here on end everyone in the Kiwi dressing room will be supremely confident...it will not be easy to get the tail out even...

You can say the same about the bowlers.

There's no pressure on the two batsmen. Let's apply it, and get one of these out. I think Asif and DK are capable.

agreed... guys... did you see how tired asif seems to look there??? no energy at all... its like they are waiting for something to happen.... on its own.. what is the captain doing ??

InshaAllah he'll be back tomorrow to bowl if we need him...must be exhaustion from heat

One thing I have noticed in the PP commentary of this match..
No doubt the partnership is going good...
but everybody is expecting the wickets within no time..
This is test cricket we are talking about,,,you have got to work session by session..
Pak was having good 2 sessions...Now NZ is having 1 good session..you have got to be patient..
But Aamir's injury is surely a set back..

It is not that simple. This is just a session and a test and a series.

how'd he get injured???

decent bat.. got amer'ish or pathan'ish batting abilities... nthing extraordinary though
 
We have 15 minutes and 17 overs remaing. I do not mind penalty if slowing down work in our favour. If team is tired bowling more overs will help NZ.

To be fair, I don't blame the bowlers here at all, they have done a fair job upto this point. If we had a 450 plus score in the first inning, we would be right on top right here right now...

I think the Kiwis are batting their 4th inning right here as well...they won't need to come back to bat again...
 
this partnership is like the akmal brothers partnership in the first innings... strike rates also kinda similar.. counter attack!!

It has nothing to do with T20 or test, it is about his ability that Aqib claims he has. He was reversing in 10th over in T20. According to Aquib he has that unique ability, he knows that magic trick that will make it happen.

Vettori is currently second Best all Rounder in the Rankings .... just look at his performance

one more wicket .. and then pak can look to clean up the tail.. no more recognised batsman to follow... if the lead is within 130 odd then pak can look to bat out???
 
I do not mind getting hammerred, we have to try at least. MoYo is not trying, he has to rotate bowlers. Make things happen if they are not happening for you.

We haven't played Test Cricket in a long time, so I don't know how would we feel batting under a big deficit first then bat to save the match...its a tall order.
 
The deck is flat any other side could bat fr two days but not pakistan

truth is.. that the white ball is very different in its behaviour as compared to the red one brother
 
I'm unable to watch it live. But I just saw the on Cricinfo. What a great partnership! Well done to Vettori and McCullum after a fightback from the Pakistani bowlers earlier.

This Test series has really had its moments. And I think it's still far from over, despite New Zealand having a huge advantage in the first innings. For a supposedly flat track, this game really looks lively.

Very intriguing stuff this! This is why Test cricket is so good!

give it your best.. got nothing to loose.. besides... in moyo , misbah, akmal brothers and amer they have a line up that is capable of keeping the kiwis from celebrating
 
^^ Currently Moyo do not have any choice .. The over rate is pretty bad He is down with one bowler and rest of his two bowlers look really tired ...
