Do you mind telling me what happened to Aamer?

Stomach problem. He was throwing up.

I was just about to type 'when was the last time that a team was reduced to two bowlers?'

And then Kaneria got hit on his injured finger. He seems ok now (fingers crossed).

He was clutching his side. Possibly strained abdominal muscle. I am watching without sound so don't know if commentators said anything about his injury.

I hope there was nothing wrong with the food. After lunch, Danish Kaneria was not feeling well either and i remember commentators saying it might be a stomach problem,

Harry Potter reaches his 100, well played. Now alarm bells should be ringing for Pak, they need to get these 4 wickets ASAP or they can kiss the series goodbye...

Yousufs getting a double hundred in 2nd innings.
Watch out.

All you Fawad haters can shove it down your throats. Vettori has the best 'technique' in the world, right? Actually, I'm not even going to bother arguing about this issue of 'technique' anymore.

Gutsy goes a long way. On top of that, Fawad is clearly very skillful and mentally strong. If anything, the constant injustice done to him is gradually going to bring him down.

I agree, look at NZ they are still persisting with Flynn even though we all know his technique, its all about giving them a chance, and Fawad was pretty good actually with just a few minor issues.

negative

NZ dnt have any back up options. all their batsmen are of very low standard.

not to say that our batting is any good either but defitnely better than fawad who is flawed in so many ways.

What backup we have got in the batting dept.??????

Why is everyone criticizing Fawad? On what basis?

Poor guy bats as an opener in SL and scores 168 on debut, which is not his normal position.

He smashes sixes and hands an impossible win to Pakistan in the end against SL in T20 Canada.

Give him time, he will shine. He has skills and talent.

Not a Fawad hater. But Fawad has a flawed technique. Vettori's technique is unorthodox, but is certainly not flawed.

Captain's knock from Vettori. He should be batting in the NZ top order.

i hope kiwis don get more lead then 150 as still 150 is a huge lead for pak team....i wish our team does well in their second innings as the wicket looks ideal for batting so hope we post a total of 400-500 inshallah so the target should be 300+ or more then that.

Bowlers were brilliant for the first two sessions not sure whether they got tired or the pitch is getting flatter and flatter the last session was a shocker. U cant blame the bowlers they cant bail the batsmen out every time. Cant see pak getting out of this one theres still 3 days left.

I would say that due to the nature of this pitch, Pakistan may well draw this game with ease. First we need to get NZ out !

That may have been a costly miss by Danish at the end as Vettori looks well set now.

The last session was a very bad one for Pak. Credit to NZ though for going after the bowlers even when the new ball was taken.

Good news for Pak is there is plenty of time, and the Pitch looks very placid especially against the fast bowlers.

It is all about pressure now and Pakistan will have to bat at least 4 to 5 sessions to have any chance, but this batting line up does not give me that much hope tbh.

Pakistan need to mop up kiwi tail up very early tomorrow. A lead of 200 for kiwis and it could be vey much game and series for them.

Only chance for pak is to bat for two whole days and draw the game, a bit cowardly but yeah, but i seriously doubt if pak can do that, they should learn from Monty and Anderson (the way they saved one of the ashes test)

I cant see this match petering out in a draw..we have 3 full days,270 ovs..Its gonna be either a NZ victory or a Pak win..lets say NZ get a lead of 140 and Pakistan bat out 5 sessions, which means we'll play around 140 -150,if we maintain a run rate of around 3.0,3.2, we'll score around 470..So,the target for NZ would be approximately 330 in 120 ovs min..so there would be enough time for either side to force a victory..

Honestly, I think this game is almost 40-60 NZ right now.

Really depends on how quickly we bowl them out tomorrow. This pitch is still brilliant for batting, so anything can happen. I just don't want NZ to get more than a 200 run lead. We can put up 400 runs, and then give them a target of 200.

But obviously, the lower the lead they get, the better it is.

Yosuf, Akmals and tail-enders playing out 140-150 overs? Isn't that a bit too much to ask for from our poor guys? :aamir

Vettori and McCullum made pakistani bowling look ordinary.....Danish Kaneria was an exception though
expected of a dead pitch! the first day was ideal for our bowlers to extract any bounce there was in it, but kaptaan fantastic put paid to that. i wouldn't trust our batters if the average first innings score at a ground is 887.
