Now where are all the people who were saying it's fine it's fine, even if we bat this slow?

Right here

It seems people have forgotten what happens when Pakistanis try to bat fast

The only thing we have done wrong in this match is fielding. It is absolutely criminal to drop so many catches on such a flat wicket

it isn't the batting which has cost us....but the catching. Really is usually the difference between why Pakistan wins and loses.......

dropped catches , otherwise would have been an innings victory. What if they don't get get out and the day ends.Catches win matches

Batting has to take the blame as well. There lead would have been much less by now had we batted a bit quicker...

As Bumble would say, Pack your bags, and start your cars. This game is over.

Ajmal has also been a big let down in this game

Hafeez compensated well for the matches he won against zimbabve

We probably wouldn't have made so many runs if we had batted quicker. Besides Shafiq, they all batted at an acceptable rate in my opinion

Where is the old Sharjah crowd? A packed stadium cheering for every delivery could have added more pressure to the Srilankans and definitely make a difference, at least to Jayawardene.

Assuming we hadn't lost wickets by taking greater risk that is. I do however agree that we could have batted a little quicker.

However the reason we are running out of time isn't because of lack of runs but lack of wickets.....for that you have to blame the bowlers and the fielders.....

not really that second session on the second day, when Azhar and Taufeeq were batting cost us precious runs as well. I mean going at under 2 rpo

And Shafiq, well the less said about him the better...

I agree that the main reason we are in this position is because of our fielding :)hafeez :wahab), but batting has to take a bit of blame too.

We are in Abu Dhabi, not Sharjah :hafeez

Yes it has to take a bit but then the bowling has to just as equally.....so then we end up saying all 3 areas cost us the win.....so then you have to look at the biggest reason.

We both agree it was the catching....so a non argument really

Wouldn't really say bowling has to take the blame, cause there is nothing in the pitch and fielders are not backing them...

anyone with working link, my eurosports2 link is not working

lost cause...a disappointing draw for Pak, and a class of an inning from Sanga to save this test.

Yes the wicket is flat but Ajmal has been dissapointing on a 5th day wicket and the seamers seem a little clueless. So equally to blame as the batters.

But the fielders came out with ghee on their hands from the parathas they had for breakfast on the 4th day has really cost us...

Agreed about Ajmal, but the seamers have done reasonably well, without any luck though...

I can't believe people are STILL blaming this on slow batting or lack of strength in bowling. IT WAS THE FIELDING. which has cost us.

obviously its the fieliding

ifs and buts dont work in cricket

only the end result does

We can still win this. Just need a wicket and we are in the tail.

what if......

we get a five wicket maiden :)

Now the only thing I want is a tripple century from sangakara. :)
