Afridi cleverly changing his pace here.

Tricky Question, who is going to be the Man of the Match?

1.Malik.

2.Younis.

3.Afridi.

Now thats what you call a spell of bowling - great stuff Afridi

4 overs 3 for 18

I have to admit that Afridi is a good bowler for 20/20 format. I am not too sure about his batting though.

how come u guys are so fast ? are u guys sitting front of the tv and typing ?

move over Cricinfo. PP rules :D

Big smiles from the Pak fielders. Looking chilled and happy

i think cricinfo froze again

lol @ cricinfo it aint india vs pak and india losing its srilanka

it's true. I've been following the game on both sites and PP is miles ahead. The only reason I keep cricinfo open is because the match situation is nicely organized and summarized there. But for updates, here is way faster.

finish this off. Run rate may be important in the final analysis

I second that.

Who should be MoM for this game, So many to choose from:

Younis Khan 51 off 35 balls 145.71
Shoaib Malik 57 off 31 balls 183.87
Shahid Afridi 17 off 9 balls 188.88 and 3wkts for 18 runs in 4overs

It seems for me it has to be Afridi was bowling as puts the brake on the train we call SL batting

My vote: Afridi, because he truly changed the complexion of the game. Prior to his introduction, a massacre was going on.

BUT, it's a lot more common for a batsman to be recognized for this award, so in that case, Malik.

especially if Sri Lanka beat Aussies and we lose to them

how about all of the above...this really was a team effort

Same here.

Plus you get the added comedy of wrist slitters on PP commentary. Can't find that on cricinfo!

true...but cricinfo has its own quality. Nothing tops the subdued squirming from the Indians.

I think Malik and YK should both share the MOM award. If it wasn't for them, Pakistan would not have scored these runs.

he was hitting middle 140kph. I noted 146 kph for one delivery

as long as we beat Bang aren't we in? I figured it was simple: win 2 out fo 3 and go into semis.

EDIT: My bad, I guess you were talking about ranking within the top 2.

I agree ... and to improve the Net Run Rate, let's not get them out. Let them play the full 20 overs, and score 3-4 runs an over here on.

OR ... am I mistakenly assuming how it works? If SL is bowled out in 18 overs, for the sake of NRR calculations, would they count 18 overs or 20? I think 20, but I'd be glad to hear a correction.

Thanks.

nope if SL beat Aussies and BD, they will have 2 wins also, If Aussies beat us and BD and they lose to SL, they too will have 2 wins

I say YK should get MOM. He set up the innings nicely and allowed us to reach a defendable total. Pakistan should not have lost from that score so the batting should get the award not Afridi's bowling.

aussies already have a great net RR after demolishing bangladesh

+2.8 to be precise

i doubt we can demolish bangla by that much ..

only and aussie win over lanka will secure us ( or us winning against Ozzies - dare i say)

full 20 overs yar

i would name afridi man of the match
quick innings down the order and 3 match turning wickets

We should try to get good RR differential here as it may be crucial for Semis

thanks for that, I hadn't bothered to think it through.

MOM - Malik

Great batting and captaincy in my opinion

the aussies must be watching wonder what the australians are making of tanveer
