Why would you enforce the follow on in the unforgiving conditiions of the UAE and give up the advantage of bowling last only makes sense if you are well into the 4th day.
Ramiz is stupid .
Jason Holder is such an annoying batsman. He plays as a bowler and as a Pakistani fan you're watching him bat thinking he's a bowler. But he bats so beautifully and just doesn't get out. It's annoying.
His bowling is not particularly threatening but his lower order batting has been useful. He scored a hundred in Antigua last year to save a Test v England.
He could reinvent himself as a top 6 batsman who can bowl a bit.
Only 30 runs remaining...
What are the fielders doing?![]()
123/10 on card again...![]()
Nawaz bowled only four overs...Why's in the team?
Very Slow Start from openers... As expected...
130-140 runs in this innings should be enough before reinserting Windies again.
Probably should have around four and a half sessions to bowl them out.

horrible umpiring from on field umpires.
Ramiz blabbering on about 'showing aggression'.![]()
Can't expect the on field umpire to spot that.

How about now and other decision reversed today absolutely bad umpiring.
How much has Sami Aslams batting deteriorated from Edgebaston? He is following the well worn path of looking like a world beater at the start and beginning the journey to looking like a tailender.
Cautious approach probably a reaction to how overly aggressive and complacent we were in the 2nd inns in Dubai when Bishoo took that 8-fer.These guys are sooo slow even against the 3rd rate WI bowling on dead tracks
They might not score a single run for hours when they play in Aus
Sami Aslam has 20 from 59 balls today.
In his first innings at Edgbaston after 59 balls he had scored...19 runs.

Rambo) Fazeer very clearly asks him if he remembers the story about Curtley and Dean Jones, Ramiz just ignores it because he had already decided what nonsense he was going to spew

He's playing in much more familiar conditions and against a much weaker bowling attack
Also now that he is a regular in the team, his confidence should've improved
He really hasn't shown any progression
But he played on pitch which had something, this is flat wicket. But more than that his body language looks poor at the crease, especially when he defends.

Run rate in UAE is always slow, Edgbaston pitch does more but the ball comes on to the bat which makes it easier to score.
It's more complicated than "familiar conditions"
I see your point but Sami in particular looks to have no shots through the off side and has no footwork when defending. In many ways he reminds of Taufeeq Umer, who was excellent at the start and went backwards at a rate of knots.
One thing that may cause Aslam problems also is that shuffle across the crease leaving him susceptible to LBW. Pacers should try bowling fuller to him early on.
I think your missing my point, his footwork is just so poor.
You're saying he's deteriorated since Edgbaston, where he left the ball against seamers for the first half of his innings.
Here he's facing mostly spinners who keep attacking the stumps, of course he's not going to look the same.
He looks fine, stop with the knee jerk reactions.
