The problem I see with Zulfiqar Babar is that he's a loopy bowler by nature and when the pitches don't spin quickly like this pitch, his effectiveness is practically zero. A Zulfi type bowler would only succeed in India when the pitches turn a mile and quickly.

What's important is winning! These are good batting surfaces . . and low and slow! meaning you have to work hard for every wicket . . you need all the time in the world! In the last test, WI batted out almost 120 overs . .

Impossible to convince you man. Didn't you suggest yesterday we should have given them 120 overs at best and there was some other poster who suggested to give WI just 93-94 overs. They've already batted 88 overs right now. If Misbah had gone by your logic of 120 overs, WI currently would be needing only a session to bat to save the match. This is UAE and UAE pitches. You can't roll over teams here. You need time. Lots of it. 150 overs if need be.

I think it has more to do with the perceived capability of the opposition. Same threads were filled to the brim when we were playing England or the Aussies in UAE even though, arguably, WI put more of a fight in this test series..
