I guess so ... was surprised to see England actually make some runs, and now they are bowling alright too.

Their bowling has been pretty poor lately (although they haven't had Broad for a while).

and they fielded there preferred XI for their last Warm up unlike Pakistan....:)

they were @ 149-4 after 30 ....but good recovery by bopara colly & prior in last 10 overs.

and here Broad doing some damage ..he is in good form ...

England 273 (49.4 ov)

Pakistan 71/3 (18.3 ov)

Pakistan require another 203 runs with 7 wickets and 31.3 overs remaining

Pakistan | 3/69 | 18 Overs | Need 205 runs to win from 32 Overs

shafiq looked soo calm and reassuring in the test arena but pressure seems to get to him in the one day format come on lad it’s a warm up game not the semi final of the wc

YK should use this good opportunity just to practice batting.if he gets in form like misbah is in now he is dangerous :D

this is warm up my friend there r many other kids sitting out side who needs batting pratice... not just 1..

remember south africa v aussies ......rsa....... both opners retired out to give there players some match pratice ..............pakistan is givin match pratice to just 1 player and that is asad shafiq the batsmen from 1970s

Pakistan | 3/71 | 19 Overs | Need 203 runs to win from 31 Overs

Yaar he needs to play sensible so he can make his place in the team better than useless U. Akmal 2.

Obviously pressure is on him.

why blame shafiq when the senior player who has been playing for 15 years can not set an example ? its honestly all psychological. when one player who people look up to as a 'senior' starts paying at a strike rate of 40, all the other batsman start thinking to do the same.

younus khan is the one who should be the one to answer for this not asad.

How do you get bowled by Colly on a flat pitch like this ... there goes Shafiq's chance to play in this World Cup.

for your info younis khan been playin since 2000 ....

thats makes it 11 years now since his 1st match 4 pak...

get ur facts right....

just coz some 1 is young ...........that dnt mean he has the rights 2 play so slow...oh bingo his gone .... :yk

yeah and when one played start playing with no brain ala afridi style, younger guys look at that as well...

kami, umar, might be looking up to afridi ..no wonder they dont last more than a few balls

We are no match for england. Our chances of winning the world cup looking so bleak at the moment

Pakistan | 4/79 | 20 Overs | Need 195 runs to win from 30 Overs

am sorry , chasing 273 rrr was never going to be an issue here ..it was all about keeping wickets & shame some of your batsmen still dont realize it . no reason why YK has to be blamed here .

rrr is still 6.5 , paks problem is wickets even now not runs .

Pakistan | 4/84 | 21 Overs | Need 190 runs to win from 29 Overs

jus got back from Jumma, n whats this, 80/4,,ahmed shehzad comes in now,
Akmal bros r testing our patience man, low scores after low score...come on boys...

Bye bye to Shafiq and his hopes to start a game for Pakistan. Knee-jerk I know, but this was a great time to show what you could do, yet he failed miserably like Hafeez and the Akmal brothers.

shafiq is an overrated batsmen, he also is too leg sided and plays across the line with the bat.
pretty poor against spin bowling as well.

Win or lose please remember this is just a practice game...We have three players missing in Gul, Razaq and ofcourse Afridi. Thats three potential match winning bowlers and two potential match winning batsmen.. Also the in-form Shezhad has not opened the batting so its also a different batting line-up...

I think people need to relax and let the players get their practice, for example YK who needs a decent stay at the crease and will an inform YK will be vital when we find ourselves having to chase a decent total when the tournament begins proper.

Younis
Misbah
Umar/Shafiq

Our middle order for ODI internations is not good enough to win this world cup. Umar and Shafiq are unfortunately not consistently good enough despite sparkling at the start of their careers. Younis is not an ODI player, never has, never will be. His stats prove that. Misbah is in because of his form and rightly so.

A top/middle order of

Shazad
Kami
Malik
Yousuf
Misbah

would have been perfectly suited to ODI's espically in sub-continent conditions. But we have to get on with what we've got as theres no turning back. Sadly i can't see us winning with our current middle order.

England rubbin salt to the wounds, after already humiliating Pakistan last summer

He is new in the team, you can say nervousness at this big stage.
