Malik haters before the first innings of the first Test - He is crap

Malik haters after the first innings - we have started to like him now, looks baby-faced and committed to do well.

Malik haters after the second innings and first innings of the second Test - he is crap

Make up your minds. No one will crucify you either way, but I hope he can grow a beard, maybe it will help you make up your minds. :amla

Malik was well set up there by Wood.

Pakistan need a partnership here or we could let england back in the match!

Clouderson is up against Masood, Hafeez and Malik. Riaz is up against the legendary, impenetrable Cookie. That is why.

Anderson is the best new ball bowler on show in this series, that is why.

Awful, Malik being exposed against the big teams like expected. Sad for him but that 200 should stay be a good retirement gift.

Malik is not a number 3, period.

Feet stuck on glue, looked like a tailender with some of those horrendous shots.

He's a number 6 at best.

Now I think people can see why Malik is not number 3, he is not comfortable against seamers, specially short ball, can be trapped easily.

Clouderson averaging 18 and the only pacer who has taken wickets with the new ball, but I don't see a cloud in the sky or grass on the pitch. :13:

He is not dependent on weather conditions as some people suggest, he is a class act.

Having said that, Mirza gone  seems like collapse will ensue at any moment.

Sorry just saw this. Well that is exactly what he is.

He has only managed to play 14 Tests till the age of 30 because he was not good enough to be a world class fast bowler.

Only in Pakistan will Wahab after 2-3 great spells, be compared to a bowler with 300 Test wickets and 12 5-fers, who has won matches for his team in the den of the number one ranked Test team.

The only similarity between the two is the bowling style, but Johnson far more accomplished and is actually good with the new ball as well.

Looks like there is no middle ground with Pakistani fans: 2 years ago, he was crap; now he is a legend.

The truth that he is somewhere in between - a good/decent fast bowler who can be unplayable at times, nothing more.

I never said hes as good as johnson but on current form hes better i think.

Masood and Malik in the batting lineup is like being at a 2 wicket disadvantage before the innings even starts.

Can't believe we're throwing it away here.

Should get serious now, need a 100 run partnership here.

I was starting to like him in ODIs, but his atrocious clueless batting has made me think he won't survive against good attacks in ODIs either. You surely can't back him to do well in ODIs overseas, can you?

I'll play the wait and watch game in ODIs for Malik.

and Malik fans were like : we are missing on great malik due to azhar

Looks like there are more English supporters than Pakiatani

Not just in Pakistan, Root is not going to play at no 3 either. Smith played but that did not worked out so well in England, when ball was seaming. Kholi will not do either, best batsmen rarely play at three. Every team, protect their best at two down, save them from new ball, unless you are natural new ball player like Cook or Ponting.

Azhar is well equipped, Pakistan is missing him at number 3.

Whether it works out or not, other teams are more open to playing in unfamiliar positions for the benefit of the team.

England tried Root as an opener and Australia tried Smith at number 3, it may not work very well but they are at least open to experimenting.

It is normal for your number 4 to move one position up than to have Malik open, who has never been good enough to bat at 3 in Test cricket.

Very poor planning by the management, and shame on Younis, Misbah and Shafiq.

Cant afford to give away anymore wickets in this session

Pakistan's best player of spin comes to bat - England bring on their spinner. Good tactics. :yk2

Need massive partnership. Sharp turn!! Survive this session without another wicket

Tbh theres no one in the world id have at the crease when theres sharp turn and spin other than younis khan. MMHS will agree with me i think

Someone tell Hafeez there isn't a required run rate he has to keep up with. Looked like a panicked tailender against Moeen there.

Your clutch test players like younis stand up in such situations. Get us to 100 you 2

I won't mind giving Moeen bhai a few wickets here so that his average is not disturbed, provided we get a fat lead and eventually win the match.

Few wickets here and a fat lead are not compatible. Let's hope he gets wickets later on in the innings.

Don't tell me Clouderson is tired after four overs of gentle medium pace.

England have plenty of bowling options which is why Cook can rotate them better.

I wish we had the same luxury and could use Wahab in short bursts.

This is why we should play 3 pacers and yasir in next match

Anderson should've continued for at least 2 more overs. The batsmen couldn't get a run off him (literally) in 4 overs. England need to apply pressure from both ends.

No point in taking him off so early. Should have kept him on from one end and rotated Wood and Stokes from the other, who bowl at 140+ and need the rest.

I hope Yoni doesn't chicken out of pace again. I was surprised with his guts in the first innings, he was actually looking to score against the pacers.

Malik has done 14 come backs in 34 tests, looks like he will be making 15 in near future.

Shan is definitely gone for Azhar, Malik is not far off. I wish they had given Harris chance at no 3, he has bench so good in WC facing new ball on bouncy conditions, he could do well here.

Other than him,Azhar and Shafiq, I don't see anybody else having skills to survive new ball.

Cook isn't a good captain to be honest.

No one seems like a greater in England. This could hamper them in the next few years.

History suggests he is our best player against pace, since Inzi/Yousuf days.

IN test matches.

hafeez the only player in the team that can dominate the opposition like a boss. But never a good option for test cricket

MoHa has the same issues as Shehzad but he can dominate the bowling more. He is our best opener at the moment.

In test cricket younis is in the best 3 players of spin in the world. People who are delusional will deny this but most agree this is true. His weakness against pace is overshadowed by his absolute domination and inability to be dismissed by spin. (Having said that i hope i dont jinx him)

We need to find a decent 2nd opener to go with hafeez and also get Azhar back in side our top 3 is to weak right now.

Hafeez is doing better than I expected. Good thing Dorthi has not left the Kansas [emoji851][emoji851]

How about azhar opening with haris sohail at 3. Fawad alam/babar azam can come in at 5 when misbah retires

Mamoon acting as if he didn't ride Malik's bandwagon when he scored his double hundred on his comeback when infact he was the one glorifying him and jumping up and down in euphoria like a crazy girl when Malik was on song, but now when the opposite has happened, he has the audacity to target his critics.
