He is better against pace than Malik, because he has better defensive game. That does not mean that he is not ordinary against pace himself, which he most definitely is.
A good player of pace is capable of dominating them, and that is why he has molded his playing style around dominating spinners and surviving pacers, which works well for him.
Not sure how it will work in England/Australia next year, considering he failed on the pacy and bouncy wickets of SA 3 years ago when he was younger.

If Younis is a good player of pace because he is better than Malik who by no means good enough to be a top-order Test batsman, than there is nothing much to add.
Can't believe I'm arguing the point that Younis is not an accomplished player of pace bowling.
