I probably would prefer a big hitter earlier in the line up today since the target is big.Raz said:Come on yaar, Razzaq is one of the biggest hitters of the cricket ball in world cricket. 89 from 40, 42 from 16, 51* off 22 are just a few examples of what he's done in international cricket.
Why on earth was Kamran Akmal demoted down the line up ? He is someone who can get boundaries on a regular basis. At least today he needed to be promoted up the attack since the target is a big one.Raz said:This is starting to get out of hand.
Latif is happy defending, when we really need to get a bit of a move on.
Butt hasn't found any kind of rhythm as of yet
25-0 after 7 overs.
A boundary an over is not really good enough. We need to be going at 6 an over.
Sorry pal, had some rough time with you. Can we patch up again, please ?Poison said:No worries guise, we've got off to a semi decent start.

ok..if you say so!farsiddiqui said:Easy guys, it's just the beggining. We still have the wickets intact. Batsmen are getting set, taking the shine off the ball, and seeing Bond off on his first spell. Required run rate at this point is ok, and can be brought back down with a couple of good overs.
It's much better than hitting a couple of big boundaries and then getting out and having the middle order face the new ball under pressure. I think they will accelerate in a couple of overs.
Have faith and patience.

hmm you are rightBublu Bhuyan said:It's a joke for Younis Khan to have not promoted Kamran Akmal as opener today.
I wouldve said that some 3 ovs ago but not now..Bublu Bhuyan said:It's a joke for Younis Khan to have not promoted Kamran Akmal as opener today.

"I get the sense that most Pakistanis do not like this opening partnership, but although not setting the world alight so far today in terms of run rate, both look very secure and are building a platform for the more explosive talents of Shahid and Kamran Akmal down the order....shrewd cricket"
The score would have been much better than 48 in 10 overs if Akmal came as opener.Seen Sheen said:I wouldve said that some 3 ovs ago but not now..

0 0 v Australia Abu Dhabi 03-May-09

Not so bad for the amount of grief he gets.
He doesn't smack sixes like Nazir (in fact he hasn't hit a six in ODIs since the Windies series in Abu Dhabi last year) , but he can do a job
Poison said:I think his decent/good innings get pushed aside by his tendency to get out very early. He's either bad, or good, and fickle fans remember the bad more than the good.
