So 66/0 at Lunch.. 2 more sessions to go... minimum 60 overs to go.. and 288 runs to get...

Can Pakistan Go for a Win from Here??

Hopping for Great Ending of this Test Match.. :inzi

Just need to keep batting, don't look for a win. If it happens (highly highly impossible) it happens, but don't enforce it

Yea You Are Right.. But,, If post Lunch session goes good For Us, then I think, We can go for a kill in the Final Session..

we're not going to win it, but if we survive, it will at least be a moral victory for us.

got the Saffers shakin' in their boots!

InshAllah if we score pretty quick in the post lunch session and only lose a min of two wickets we can go for the win in the final session.

btw booking odds are suddenly in pakistan's favour...lol
at one point u cud get a 1000 on 40

5 ranking points at stake for Pakistan to draw the series

Pakistan mgmt. should seriously think about sending YK at 3 if a wicket falls.

:aali is not so efficient against the spinners, would be a much better idea to send an experienced player next.

288 to get in 63, all wickets intact...

key to this chase will be the 2nd session...if it goes well, than we should go for the kill!!!

They should send a slogger at 3 if openers put up 100+! :D

Too creative and too aggressive for Waqar though.

man we should play to win...this a better chance to beat Saffers than the first test...

2nd session: 31 overs, 130 runs, no more than 2 wickets...

leaving 150 odd in last session with 8 or more in hand, game on!!!

I think we need to have another solid session and if we can get 100-110 runs in session they if we wanted to have a possible go we could.

However best to be postive and just keep batting!

Openers have done a good job once again!

It all depends on this session, if we score 100+ runs with the loss 2-3 wickets then we can go for it in the third session.

Only and only if we have at least 8 wickets in hand for the last session should we even think about going for the target.

150-160 in 30 odd overs with 8 wickets in hand is going to be extremely hard (almost impossible) but still a slight semblance.

There is no way it will all come together though, I believe in miracles, but not of these proportions

5 points to draw it, how many do we get if we win it? :D

Sorry OP.

+10! They've GOT to go for it.

That's what ALL of us sitting in the press box thought on Day 5, Session 3 in the first Test too - most people, Pakistanis and Saffers alike, were flabbergasted at Pakistan's defensive approach then. Didn't expect or want them to slog or take risks, but they didn't even try or show intent.

Farooq Ahmad: "I will give an Ipod to every Cricinfo Commentator of this match if Pakistan wont lose any wicket in the 2nd session." Now I have put it up for everyone to see, just in case it happens and you back out

:))

Just play play and play without losing a wicket frustrate the bowlers and get your records better.

Commentators change their tune so quick. Before they were saying pakistan is going to be in trouble when pakistan was getting wickets. Im a tad bit annoyed. :(

Like I've learnt to say on this board: "Phattu mentality."

The commentators just said "It's not impossible, but improbable."

Took me a while to realize they were talking about the possibility of South Africa bowling us out. :P

we desparately need a batting coach...

how we manage to make avg. spinners world beaters these days beats me...

Hafeez & Taufeeq both can't seem to be able to rotate strike...

both are good against pace...

They should have sent in Tanvir or Gul for slogging a quick 50

Still have to aim for at least 100+ in this session with the loss of only 1 more wicket.

Then we will see what happens from there.

:out

:)) what a bloody joke! where are the new fans of Hafeez now?

Hafeez gone too...

God I hate Harris & Botha!!!!!!!!!!!!

and now match is essentially done with...must save it at all costs...

lol did they get a call from Butt during the lunch break? no runs added and 2 wickets lost in first 3 overs...interesting

Younis Khan, need a repeat of one week ago

Even if he scores half those runs, we should be safe

Could it be the collapse Steyn Predicted?

Was this match fixed?

Was Smith part of the fixing? (declaring so late)

Where Boucher and Prince in on it?

These are the questions many PP's will be asking if we lose
