guyz... pak did their best...... match is really close.... even at one stage itz almost gone..... but alam played well ... and its a really good cricket :)
 
Ajmal was just wildly swinging and missing instead of just looking for singles!

what a fool!
 
how long will it take for the team to understand that ajmal can't perform under pressure
 
why the hell did Fawad take a single? 5 from 3 becomes 4 from 2, even if Ajmal had got the single, Fawad would've had to have hit a boundary since all the fielders would've been in the outfield. Not smart from Alam. No advantage gained from the single.

fawad fought in the very end and has this amazing ability to not give away his wicket great for test
that one run to ajmal was the last straw
so im guessing he would be quite upset too
 
Fawad should not have taken teh single on the 4th ball, it was his match to win

Abdul Razzaq just did that on Sunday
 
Ajmal was pathetic 2 off 8



Shoaib should have been promoted given his ability to hit the ball

Why are all Pakistan game so tense? Turning point was that 12th man coming with the message and Ajmal being sent ahead of Akhtar. Captain and coach have to take some blame
 
that is the difference between Fawad and Razzaq
Razzaq had the balls to finish it (in all sense)
 
When Fawad took the single all
the was required of Ajmal was to get bat on ball and pinch a single!!
 
I still want to know what was the message that came from the dressing room when Wahab and Alam were winning it for Pakistan?
 
this was our chance to go 1 ahead in the series ! now its hard to comeback in the series !
 
ajmal didn't listen to even one advice from fawad. whenever ajmal on strikes, fawad went to him and asked him probably just to take it easy and take a single but ajmal i think consider himself way better batsmen than fawad so he tries to hit and miss.
I would blame fawad too as why he trust ajmal on second last ball of the match. he should have just refuse to take the single. i hope he learns his lesson and will not trust on nay tail ender.

Getting really fed up of this new generation of supporters if only PP had a lower age limit!! You have to be over 5 years if age to join!

it is a shame. Completely inept batting from Ajmal. His fifty against England was a complete fluke, he is a born no. 11 In fact I'd say he's the most natural no. 11 I've ever seen in my life, ahead of Walsh, McGrath, Murali, Donald by miles.

Fawad played well, but he shouldn't have taken the single.
 
Apologies about the stat regarding this being the closest win for SA by runs. They said so on TV, but there has been a one-run victory before. :))
 
we had such a great chance , but our pathetic batting has choked once again ! farhat and shafiq were playing test match !

The Difference Between the 2nd ODI and 3rd ODI is that in 2nd odi Razzaq never took a single to give strike to a tail ender and here Fawad was taking singles to give strike to ajmal
 
omg seriously everyone blaming fawad?!
im not a huge fan of this but seriously you cant not blame afridi yk and farhat
at least fawad actually fought in the end no matter how slow he went during the game
you cant blame him for playing his stlye of cricket if anything its the selectors fault for making him play

yup... but then again, Fadi dont have the brute force as Razzler so he was always going to rely on 1s n 2s. That said, Ajmal did a pathetic job today both with bat n ball.
 
Fawad should have followed Razzaq's example of not taking a single. Thanks Farthat for the slowest innings.
 
Get over it and stop blaming people. Was incredible and really showed team spirit the way we came back into it from nothing. A few mistakes under pressure at the end cost us but that's cricket; just enjoy the spectacle that this game was.

ok ,what about the single he took on 4th ball,he denied pakistan the chance to win. Did nt he see how pathetic was ajmal the previous over.

yea i noe i didnt get that either that was the last straw but i guess pressure gets to you he clearly didnt think right...
dunno what can one say about that?

but 2 runs from 8 balls is a joke!

Also why Ajmal came in before akthar is a joke!

He did a very good job by taking that single because it was obvious that fawad cannot hit so he gave the strike to ajmal.Ajmal had more chances to hit than fawad.

Afridi came in to up the ante after the platform was set and got out to a good ball from the best bowler in their side. You're not going to blame him are you? :fawad

Afridi was perhaps the WORST dismissal. Captain, comes in, hits a six, gets a single. Next ball he faces, tries to slog, gets caught behind.

Irresponsible innings and worse-than-U-Akmal shot selection.

Blame it on the tail-ender. Tumhara personal mic laga hua tha kya fawad ke collar per?

Botha: It was another cliffhanger and we were lucky that it went our way. Alam played really well, they set the game up nicely and we were lucky that we are the happier side at the end of the day. Amla is a world class player and his innings was world class.

yeah!

Depending on the situation we could have sent in a hard hitter like Akhtar ....either 6 or out.

But more importantly, we ran out off wickets and playing with long tail is always a gamble.
 
What a match, wow. Just came back from school, sad to see we lost.

Very proud of Fawad today, had he finished the game, he may have silenced many more critics

But he erased a lot of doubts in my mind about him today

Fully supporting this kid for a while now, and even more so after this innings

It wasn't a slog. Afridi got out to a good ball from Morne who has been bowling pretty well since the last couple of games.

I guess Amla deserved this one because of his great performances each day. I saw him really disappointed like he got out on a duck in the last match, then I saw his score...54 -_-

yah like ajmal hit four balls in the previous over. Anyway the positive is that it was a pretty close game and pakistan is definitely heading back to winning track.
 
Hopefully we can still seal this series

Need U AKmal to come in for Farhat and win the next two games, and hopefully this game will be inconsequential
 
We really need to reshuffle our batting order. Zoni & Ajmal are simply incapable to hold the willow and this is what our batting order should be

This time it unfortunately is true, my friend. Afridi is to be blamed as the team desperately needed some runs from him.
