What's new

Pakistan vs South Africa | 5th ODI | Dubai | 08/11/2010 | PAK Innings

I knew the team management made a mistake when they selected Mohammad Yousuf in place of Asad Shafiq. They should have instead selected him in place of Fawad Alam. Who will in right mind think Fawad Alam is more needed in the team than Asad Shafiq when you already have Younus Khan? The only explanation is seniority.

I assure you that Asad Shafiq would not have made a difference today

this is classic Pakistan, they get out in droves

Pakistan | 5/123 | 24 Overs | Afridi 2* | Need 195 runs to win from 26 Overs

2 off the over!

This is kind of tragic. 123-5 in such an awaited match, chasing over 300. I hope it's over quickly so I can get back to studying for my exams

i new Younis, Yousuf these batsman will loss the match for us...

We can not afford batsman like Yousuf, Younis and Fawad in this team..

YOunis is a very very slow batsman and yousuf is old... These batsman have made money and do not have the power to make runs.

Pakistani openers did the hard work and collapsed when easy singles were there for the taking. Pathetic.

we win the semi finals and finals of the world cups. I'll rather be Pakistan than SAF. At least we don't choke in ICC tournaments. Between bilateral series decider and WC decider, i'll rather win the WC games
Thats not the point, these ODI series matches are just as important and we seem to poo ourselves when it comes to the crunch

Pakistan | 5/129 | 25 Overs | Afridi 4* | Need 189 runs to win from 25 Overs

6 off the over!

Afridi not trying to hit every ball for 6 is surprising (for now atleast).

Whenever we bat, boundaries suddenly dry up. Afridi needs to do something about his fielding placements. I know the difference in class between SA's batsmen and ours is a big one, but come on.

Pakistan | 5/136 | 26 Overs | Afridi 10* | Need 182 runs to win from 24 Overs

7 off the over!

If they keep rotating the strike they have every chance of getting close to the total and Win !
No need to go for every shot on every ball.
