pak have put on just 6 runs in the last 7 overs and lost a wicket of YK.

What we shouldn't do is go into our shells. Need to keep on rotating the strike.

I see Chacha Cricket is sponsored by ARY these days...God, I hope he doesnt fall from there!

Problem with Younis is that he needs time to set himself and run score. In test matches he has enough time to do it. In ODI I think he is trying too hard to up the tempo and endup giving his wicket. That is whats happening. Down the order when he used to bat at No.6 he is capabale of play run a ball innings when fielders are outside the circle

This is the difference between Ponting and Yousuf under pressure. Both class acts but there is a difference.

This is a very different pith from what Ponting plays on most of the time.

YK record since CT in india year or so ago....

15 inns 296 runs 19.73 ave - 1 (50)

superb stuff! world class player!

Yousuf doesnt have the luxury of knowing that he has Hayden, Gilchrist, Symmonds, Clarke, Hussey etc at the other end....unlike Ponting, who does!

that is exactly what surprises me.

Most of the time that he gets out, run rate is not an issue. He always comes in to bat at the loss of early wickets and there's is no need to push the run rate till the 25-30th over.

I think the thing with Younis is that he is really good when bowlers are attacking as in tests. You get short balls, full balls, and he scores freely. In ODI's bowlers try and bowl dot balls and he finds it hard to score - doesn't manipulate the ball around well enough.

That is essential, yes.

It is clear to me that the only place that Younis truely deserves in the ODI squad is to take one of the opening spot.

He's certainly a world class player. No doubt about that.

Malik is proving my case in point. Look how he's manipulating the ball from just outside off onto the onside. Younis doesn't do that. He's much more orthodox. So it's easy to keep Younis quiet and then he gets impatient and throws it away.

When I joined this forum, I said to myself that whenever I would make a century in postings, I would say something "hat ke", but something straight from my heart, and this is what I have to say.
It has been a pleasure being with you guys here, watching a cricket game by being on this forum is a lot of fun. Some of you are amazingly knowledgeable and have a great sense of humour, others are very critical and like bashing, but what unites us is that we all love cricket and support pakistan and want them to win every single game. just keep it up with your postings and have fun. On the behalf of every single member here, I would like to thank the management and moderators of this forum for doing a wonderful job.
Back to cricket. 82 for 3, don't worry guys we 'll win this game.

A shot of the moon on camera and Waqar Younis "It doesn't look real, does it, but it is REAL!" LOL. Waqar is the man!

you are welcome Caved.

Congrats on your century :)

"Graeame Smith is...." (probably going get you attacked by acid later on when you go home.....)

I love you too!

Partnership doing well here, although Malik should be careful that he doesn't go for a hit too many.

If these two can bat together till 125 things will start to ease up.

Anyone watching this on Z sports? Have you seen this Vijay guy who comes and does one of the "your watching z sports" ads. Doesn't he look like Shrek?

I think if Botha bowl every ball to malik thinking its a free hit ..he ll be better off :)

94 to win off 23 overs.

Plenty of time -plenty of wickets

Happy days

Pathetic appeal from Kallis, lol
so is zaheer's commentary.

Nice and easy....win over beauty.

No fireworks needed

Ive been to the 'funfair' in the background many times...SINBADS

Its unbeleivably bad...

I've never seen Moyo play as slowly as he has these last 3 games.

The situations haven't required him to play faster and he's doing well of course, but he's starting to get boring. I hope he doesn't turn into another Kallis.

Moyo is becoming more of a Savior for our cricket team. Now that the GREAT INZI has retired, he has taken all the responsibility on his shoulders. He has even started weight training to get in a greater shape.

I would argue thathe is doing whatever is required. Obviously, it will be interesting to see how he reacts in the next 2 games if we are chasing 300+ or where we need 100 off the last 15 opvers etc etc.

But for now - they are (hopefully) winning causes.

As for excitment.

Pak fans need to ask them selves - do we want to be entertained (and lose games), or play within ourselves - to win?

Well Moyo seems to be bringing the determination he's had in tests recently into the ODI arena. He seems to be placing a very high price on his wicket these days, which is good to see. At the same time, cricket's about entertainment and players like Kallis are not really popular for their batting styles. I'd rather Moyo went the way of Ponting than Kallis, but whatever, so long as wins us matches.

All schools & colleges closed in Faisalabad today - The Pakistani cricket team is in town...and they make an ocassion of it!

The pitches in the last couple of games haven't been very conducive to free-flowing strokes either...so maybe it's not just moyo's seemingly new approach.

Ponting plays the way he plays as somebody correctly pointed out early is that he ahs the likes of Hussey, Symonds and clarke still to come while we have Misbah (still untested at ODIs) and Kamran Akmal (who bats like he keeps - on and off). So here's a guy who plays according to the match situation and people still complain, sheesh!

If its so bad, why did u go there many times !!!!

We watch the Pak cricket team every match- even when we know we will be served up rubbish most of the time....

very nicetuk shot by Malik to end the over. Hit with intent by him :littleang
Pak 126-3 after 34 overs - need 72 from 96 balls @ 4.5 an over

Pakistan need 2 overs off ten runs each, otherwise it's gonna b difficul to chase 60 runs in last 10 overs.

19,500

Theres probably more in there though....people without tickets get in...and fans WITH tickets get locked out!!

They way they are playing they will need about 50 in the last ten with 7 wickets. that should be manageable

Hi, I'm Shoaib Malik... come -- come and have dinner with me at TKC South hall.

Mera naam Mohammad Yousuf hai, aap mere saath dinner karain... :P

Comparison at this stage - we are only 7 runs behind and with an additional wicket so no need to panic just yet...

LOL i would crack my laugh my a.ss off if yousuf's batting style costs pak the game. and then PP is flooded with "yousuf should be dropped" threads!

anyways, pak are batting too slow srsly, they need the scoreboard ticking and that isnt really happening. dont think pak have won this yet, because SA can still win it from here.

Last five overs (after 36) Pakistan's RR 3.00. Are SA bowling that well? Who's watching, lucky monkeys, oops, is that monkey-ist!
