I dont think theres much difference in quality of these SL players compared to those not touring
These guys will be hungry. Good opportunity to be knocking on the door for a regular slot.
Imam needs to accelerate now
Imam is playing ok.
It's fakher who is playing dots, and unorthodox shots, it's painful watching fakher bat these days
Babar not looking comfortable against the leg spinner
Good to see Fakhar scoring. Finally a decent opening partnership.
This pitch is flat. Gonna need 310-315+.
Imam is so dead. It's hard to understand why so many PPers have so much hope for him.
After 22 overs Pakistan are going at a run rate of 3.15. Absolutely pathetic! On one the flatest pitches in the world
I agree. Hes bad for the modern game

What did you get in Maths at school?
We cannot afford to have a batsman who is so substandard against spin and is also weak against short-pitched bowling from quicker bowlers.
His WC stats were mediocre - but even then his numbers for the tournament were bumped up following that dead rubber ton in the final WC match against Bangladesh's woeful bowling attack.

I havent seen abid play much but against Australia prior to WC he displayed a good range of shots after getting set. He looked miles better against spin than Imam too.Who should replace him? Ahmed Shehzad?
On the other hand Shan Masood and Abid Ali arent exactly 120 SR players as well. So who should replace a guy with avg of 53 and SR of 80 as the options available cant average 50+ and I doubt can play at a SR of 100+ as openers consistently. Not to forget Imam is 23 while Shan and Abid are 30+.
Interesting choice to bat first at NSK. Probably won’t matter against SRL batting, but this stadium was one of the best to chase, particularly under light. PAK should complete with themselves and try to post 330+ here

I think even Sami Aslam is a better player than imam but unfortunately for him he was never liked by Mickey and was never given enough oppotunities.More prolific scorer in domestics.Just 3-4 odis for him.
Babar and Harris just look sooooo cool and calm and in control.. put everyone else in the team look like club level cricketers...
i personally like Harris more than Babar, maybe my preferecnce and likeness for lefties but Harris is sooo calm and clean in his game , just love to watch him bat...
Hope both score big ...
Abid Ali is a solid player but doesnt fall under the definition of modern opener with List A SR of 81. Selecting a 32 year old to replace 23 year old in the hope that he will better his List A SR and avg wont be the best of decisions in my opinion.
While Sami Aslam is a good talent and should have been given more opportunities but I havent seen many cricket teams in the history of cricket to replace a 23 year of with 7 100s in 35 matches, avg of 53 and SR of 80 to be dropped. Yes Sami should be in the mix of things.
Babar is more technical and he punches the ball similar to Sangakkara and Williamson.
Haris is very smooth and is pure timing. Most elegant player I've seen since Mahela.
I don't understand why you mention Abid Ali's age yet support Iftikhar, who is at least 32+ but most likely 34-35. He is Misbah's friend let's be honest.
Babar again missing a ball on leg stump.
He's gotten out this way in the past games.
Missed a sweep against Nabi.
Missed a leg glance against Saifuddin.
Now missed one against Kumara and should've been out.

Its also his strengthIn SA, he also got bowled around his legs... So definetly this is his weakness at the moment and he is vulnerable here.
Did you watch his South Africa Tour Asia CupMost of imams hundreds hve come against likes of zimbabwe or in games that we lost
Great crowd in Karachi, reminds me of the early 2000's
Sarfraz will again be pushed down the order here...
