I absolutey agree. that is our dilema. Lets give Woolmer to Indians and get get Greg Chappel. Make Yunis the one day captain and save Inzi from this torture . He can lead the test side and

when you lose 4 odi's in a row at least change something. something must be wrong. why not listen to experts and stop being stubborn!

u know as well as i do, inzi is nearing the end of his career and world cup maybe his swansong - if u try to take captaincy from him he may retire - i'd rather have inzi in side as captain than have another skipper - atleast yk and others are there to offer advice

Whatever you say I am my my own man and I am sticking to it. If it happens to be in agreemnet with Imran and amir Sohail so be it. But I am not a great admirer of Amir Sohails constant negative commentary and Imran Khan playing like an old stuck record.

i am my own man!!!!!!!!!!

paks batting well here...they have reassesed the total...200 in my view would be a very decent score on this slow track.

not every game is won by scoring 250+

Ok now u can show ur teeths.

papaBear, when pakistan loose one series after ages, why do you think certain people start asking for changes and find ways of critising the team on a regular basis? where were they when the team was winning?

166 for 6

if its a slow track, asif will have water in his mouth, its very conducive for his type of bowling..

hmm anything over 200..will be good realistcally..210 should be good enough for a fight!

168 for 3

here here....from what i am seeing this wicket is an extremely low scoring wicket...plus outfielkd is very very slow....inshallah 200 will be defendable...give credit to pakistan for not panicking.

i watched the whole tournament when india, srilanka and zimabawe were playing...and india was playing on the same pitches..and scoring over 250 and 280 frequently..........and chasing it succesfully as well..................anyways fingers crossed cricket is a funny game and we have more then capable bowlers to do the trick for us today..(we even have a chance of rain ;-)

173 for 6..need a boundery guys..come on..................2 runs...175..

i watched that tourney too...but this wicket is much slower and the outfield is also slower...rain over last few evenings has defnitely had an effect on the wicket....there is absolutely no reward for clean hits...unless its a rank ball and only razzi on few occassions has managed to go over the top

Will it seam and swing for our bowlers?
it should malik saab, since conditions are overcast........so everything in favour of the seamers............

179 for 6

Driven down the ground for a single, Kaushal bowling.

Another single.

even razzi's dismissal just now was due to slowness of the track.....

Why is the scoring rate so low ? Is the pitch dead or are the Lankans bowling well ?

We scored 280 only once (we were 50-5 but Yuvi and Kaif bailed us out), and that too against WI. Against SL we scored around 225 - 235 and we lost all of them, but they were close encounters. Our bowling let us down. I wish we had the Pakistani attack to win us such close matches.

younis needs to forget for a minute that he's a technique batsmen, and just slog..if he gets out too bad, but he needs to take risks..its now or never!

cricket is not all about hitting bounderies...........theres a thing called singles and doubles....rotating the strike pak chased india 320 odd in india 2005...with shoaib malik and razi taking singles, and doubles...................they literally won that game on their running and rotation of the strike were picking up 6 singles in an over...you dont have to hit everything .....can play with your head as well...

2 runs to end the over
48 overs gone

183 for 7

47.6 Lokuarachchi to Younis, 2 runs, drives it inside out to deep extra cover, balls almost dies near the boundary

awful ground

I have a sneeky feeling that the pitch and outfield aren't great, sri lanka may yet have a game on their hands if we can get one or two early breakthroughs

outfield is so slow - we have a decent chance bowling second on this pitch - would have pref gul to rao

gul seems a better choice at first, but I think this pitch isn't meant so much for seamers..rao keeps the ball tight and is very economical, i remember he bowled very tight in the last odi agianst india, hopefully the nature of this pitch will make him very economical today and hopefully he can pick up a wicket or two

malinga wanted to shout but then saw the fielder was attapatu , stopped himself:)):))

another 2 runs

191...shabash!!!

"48.1 Malinga to Naved-ul-Hasan, 2 wides "

thats a good point taha - but gul and the way he can seam the ball off the pitch plus use his height to extract a little extra bounce may have been a better option??

193.........hmm one ball left ...lets see what can younis do...a boundery would be rather nice.....even perhaps 2?

here he comes and 2 runs..
195..
last over coming up peeps
